I was trying to get rid of that pesky wine - turned out my hearing aid was magnifying the sound.
-
That ain't no lie - the first joint on my thumb is pulled back to probably to 65 or 70 degrees off center and I can't do anything about it.

I changed the oil in my bike 3 times this year and only have 2500 miles - but I've got several years on my compressor and haven't changed the oil yet. I can't find an owners manual but the last time I talked to anybody about air compressor oil, I was told to use a non detergent oil because it didn't foam - is that still the way to go ?? btw it's a 220 volt 175 psI

It's a LOT better than I thought it would be. Still swollen quite a bit, nuckle forward is/always will be numb and I don't think I'll ever bend the first joint. Plus, I relatively sure that I'll have an out patient surgery to move that pesky nerve - it's really touchy and not getting any better. Oh yeah - it's a 2007, I type quicker than I read

Many of you have read about my unending oil changes with little to no change in the ugly wine that got worse as the bike heated up. On my ride to the Flight 93 Memorial (180 miles) I was NOT at all annoyed with the wine. On the way home the bike was hotter ( could tell with my temp. gauge) and it did get slightly louder. Before I left home on Tuesday I had a problem with my right behind the ear hearing aid, wouldn't work correctly so I left with the left one only. Now it must be said that my right ear is the better of the 2 but I'm not deaf without it. The wine had dissipated to hardly noticeable both ways - what I have found since is that the right ear 'pitch' with the aid in is magnifying the wine. Wish I had found this about 4 or 5 oil changes ago. Could have saved a couple hundred $$$$$$ So, from now on I'll just ride w/o the right ear aid - problem solved !!

I was on the pa turnpike yesterday and parts of it are 45 mph and 55 mph. On more then several occasions I deliberately got beside a car that was doing about 5 over and I took about 4 miles to overtake them. I ran just a little faster than the car did and when I would get 5 or 6 cars lined up behind me I'd go ahead and pass the car beside me. The whole ploy was to aggravate them and hopefully let them find the patrol units. Everybody knows that half of them are in unmarked cars with lights in the windows and not on top. Yeah, yeah I know - I'm bad, I'll go to my corner now

When a dealers P & L shows a 2 year drop, makes it pretty hard to market - probably come closer to giving it away and the end result would be the same. It's a shame but it's happening all over the country.

See what happens when a name change occurs ?? People start DREAMING !!

I feel for her loss and for the employees but loosing a Harley dealership only means guys may have to ride farther to get chrome.

I did 360 miles yesterday on 4 lane, primary and tertiary roads and the fastest I had to go was ( by the Zumo ) 73 mph to pass a couple cars on the 4 lane. Now this will surely raise some eyebrows - I have a Kumo on the rear @ 54lbs. No wiggle, no sway and I can attest to the ability to stop on a dime. Should have gotten the name of the guy that pulled out in front of me but once he got over the shock of the air horn, he was gone.

The nice thing about life in general is that it really doesn't take very much to please SOME people :innocent-emoticon:

I just looked at their slide show, didn't see much of a campground but there was plenty of pix of the gift shop. Wonder where they make their money ? Will there be a 'block' of sites reserved ?

as stated, it's just a light bar - didn't look good on a wing and looks worse on a Venture -

I have a 2007 RSV and I don't have any trouble cruising at 55 on up in 5th gear. Am I lugging it ? who cares ?

Annie - I found this on the net A few states do not assess sales tax. States like Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon, for example, do not asses a sales tax. Tax laws, however, can change rapidly and dramatically. With a little planning and scheming, you could save sales tax but you will definitely loose on the buy back program. Bike/car/RV dealers ALL sell vehicles at the highest RETAIL they can get. When it comes to trading or a sell back, again they ALL use the LOWEST wholesale figure the consumer will put up with. That's how their P & L is managed.

here's hoping that your health comes back quicker that you lost it. Also, brand of bike has no bearing except for those that are too narrow minded to understand. Best of luck - hope to se you on the road
