  6. My son and I rode about 1200 miles a week or so ago and I didn't notice any back problems with 54lbs in the Kuhmo.
  7. My favorite spider is the flat DEAD type !! In that state color is not important at all. Hornet and wasp spray is a wealthy tool when they try to get away. In case you didn't pick up on it - I HAVE NO USE FOR SPIDERS
  8. I should have posted that Geico tried to low-ball me.( not at all what you think Darrin ) The lady I spoke to on the phone came up with $235 a year and wanted my credit card number to get started. When I questioned it being half of what I pay now she said then that we should maybe check my driving record. I had a speeding ticket in June 2008 and a minor accident in Feb 2008 ( not a good year ) All of a sudden my prime rate went up to almost $600 a year. I said thanks and goodbye. When I spoke to Brush Insurance 443 Main St Wellsville, OH 43968-1685 (330) 532-3751 he reps several company's, I told him about the incidents and he came back in about an hour with the $295 figure. He said the incidents were forgiven after 2 years with American Modern. It might be worth a phone call if anybody else here needs another quote.
  9. You're right - there is a big difference. A friend had a Voyager on his Wing and it worked well for him because that's what he could afford and didn't want to quit riding. At the time I had a 1998 Wing w/MotorTrike kit on it. BIG difference between them
  10. Thanks for all the info and leads - it looks like American Modern is going to be the best way for me to go. Liability @ $250,00 - $500,000 Uninsured/underinsured $250,000 - $500,000 $295 a year. beats the crap outta $439 for the same coverage.
  11. I'm looking for a good yet inexpensive insurance provider for my Venture. I presently have Victoria and it's $440 a year - I'm sure there's something as good but a little less money. any suggestions ? Thanks
  12. Tomorrow is Linda's birthday and our son that lives in Newark Ohio invited us down for lunch and an air show. All of us were running a tad late to get to the opening ceremony but as we were coming out of Bob Evans Linda looked up and couldn't even speak. There was a Stealth bomber flying at a serious low altitude heading to the airport for the flag raising fly-over. What an AWSOME site !! None of us had ever seen a Stealth except on television, still can't get over it. I gotta say tho, it must have been a defective one because they are supposed to be invisible and we all seen it. It made it's fly over ( we were only 3 miles from the airport) and we could see it turn almost tip toward ground, another awesome site. Because of the total traffic jam, it took a while to get into the airport but the wait was well worth it. There was more plane activity than I can explain and the best part was were were only 100 feet from the landing strip. GREAT DAY !! This show was in http://www.coshoctoncounty.net/agency/airport/
  13. I don't see how you can go wrong - being in an atmosphere where you can ride all year you'll get more than you can imagine out of a Kuhmo. I found 50 lbs + in the Kuhmo kept it from the wobble in curves, you shouldn't have to worry too much about curves in Jacksonville lol
  14. Had to ask -btw, here's the link for that puter thing http://www.danasoft.com/ Thanks
  15. isn't that a neat link - it doesn't show me anything, just you. Well, do you have that Hummingbird Fish Finder in your garage ??
  16. A couple weeks ago we bought a lot at http://www.lake-mohawk.org/ We built a home there 15 or so years ago, lived there for 6 years and bought another home in town, then sold the one at Mohawk. We have long wanted to continue fishing w/o having to drive an hour or so to get to fertile waters so we decided to get a lot. Then of course we HAD to have a pontoon boat and that led to needing a trailer to put it in the lake and take it out in the fall. We managed to get that accomplished pretty quick. Then I decided that I HAD to have a trolling motor and I found a used MinnKota 12v 55lb thrust Terrova Of course that leads to a fish finder and I wasn't about to spend $2000. for a Hummingbird 998C so I settled for second best (IMHO) which is the Hummingbird Wide Portrait. Problem is they are pretty scarce but I'll find one somewhere. So if anyone out there has one or knows of one, I sure would like to talk about it with you.
  17. Not as much as you would think - don't really care if it does, I've lost the wobble = happy:thumbsup:
  18. I was on the interstate running about 70 mph and entered a long sweeping curve. About midway thru I got the wobble and scared the crap outta me. At the next gas stop I increased the air pressure to 54 lbs. in the Kumho, haven't had any problems since. Probably should drop down to around 40 or so and if I notice a wear pattern I will.
  19. :rotfl::rotfl:
  20. I know buzz -- Linda and I have been busy. First we bought a lot at Lake Mohawk so we could go fishing then we had to by a pontoon boat to fish from, then we had to buy a trailer to move the boat from Tappan Lake to Mohawk, then we had to buy a trolling motor for the pontoon, ended up buying 2 of them. One is a MinnKota Terrova 12v - 55lb thrust then we had to buy a fish finder. I've been on craigs list so much that when I sit down at the desk and grab the mouse the craigs list automatically pops up I sure hope we catch some fish this spring 'cause I'll need to catch about 100 lbs or so and it'll still be about $100 a lb.
  21. Buckshot - Randy and I went down to Monty's and got his trailer - ON THE BIKES ! about 1200 miles round trip. I don't have any problem with miles -
  22. I had 2 GoldWing trikes, both had reverse and I seldom used it. Both of them were very easy to push backwards.
  23. Lookin' GOOD !
