  1. Thats why I came here looking - I forgot about having to rebuild them after 40 or 50k - I really didn't want it anyway
  2. this one is supposed to be SPECIAL - like I said earlier, I'm no Harley expert
  3. In his first contact with me, he claims his Classic # 482 will go for about $12,500 in the spring. He's from Pa and the riding season is over for us. The $12,500 figure is nearly 3 time my face value of the boat I have for sale - looks good on paper but then so does some of the stuff coming out of DC !!
  4. That's pretty much my thoughts
  5. I need some input from the Harley guys here. I've been offered a 1988 Ultra Classic as trade for an item I have for sale. It appears to be in good cosmetic condition but I have no solid experience with Harleys. This would be strictly for turn over. I really don't have any desire to own a Harley except for profit. I guess I need to know whether this bike has any mechanical flaws and if it has a viable value this coming spring and what that value 'might' be. Thanks
  6. What's facebook ??
  7. THESE LAMPS ARE FOR CARS, TRUCKS AND SUV's I don't have a clue about vr lamps
  8. Here's where I get my lamps http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/super-white-H1-foglights-xenon-1-best-ultra-white-85K-/230552336228?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AChevrolet&hash=item35adfd7764#ht_4222wt_954 If one burns out and it will eventually, send it back with $6.95 and get a new set - never a problem been using these on my cars and trucks for years nice thing about the warranty is that it's RARE that both of them will burn out at the same time so you've always got at least one replacement on hand. no I don't replace both of them when one burns out. If it ain't broke I don't try to fix it. btw - no need to pay $50 or $60 bucks for lamps when $9.99 does the SAME job. If you don't believe me, let me know which lamp you use - I've got several sets on the shelf that don't fit my '09' Silverado, you can have a set for mailing cost.
  9. Annie - how's the brace working out ??
  10. Here's what he did to my 'Midnight Venture' and here's his web site http://www.jaybirdcustomart.com/ I have his phone # somewhere - pm me sonofagun - first thing on his site is his phone # - go figure

  12. last time I went to a casino I put $100 in the card slot, got my credit went and cashed out when there was a bunch of people around. some of them actually thought I WON !
  13. You know of course that the wheels of justice are stuck in granny gear, especially when it's your vehicle that needs to get moving !! I suggest playing the game - make a low ball offer to elicit another response and just more or less keep him aware that he has a potential buyer on hand.
  14. We took "annie" to the vet today, she's 4 weeks and a couple days old and we wanted to get her first worm medicine. They weighed her and found she was 1 lb.1 oz. which according to them is right on schedule for her age. Did a check of vitals, heart, lungs, teeth and thought. Everything was in good shape the only thing they could find was a pair of testicles so, now HIS name is ANDY I pleased to find that our efforts have paid off with a healthy kitten - I guess we'll have 2 house cats soon enough.
  15. How many whistles do you want ? Have you taken a serious ride on a Venture ? They aren't the same as a TD - I can ride all day on my Venture w/o aches and pains. btw - I'm 68 yrs old
  16. with regard to the mirror hc placard - prior to my knee surgery, I couldn't walk half a block before the pain started shooting up my leg. Dr. gave me one and I used it when I felt the need. After surgery and I was able to get around w/o pain I quit using it EXCEPT when Linda was having trouble with her feet. Because of her double bout with cancer and chemotherapy she has developed neuropathy in her feet and legs as well as her fingers. There are days when she can't get thru the grocery store w/o pain and the shopping trip is cut short. As well, a looooong trip on the bike can be as short as 2 hours -
  17. That in theory should work, but there's a lot a cases where the father is unknown - go figure
  18. One of the NICE things about living in a small town is that the polling station is hardly ever REAL busy. We got there at 9 AM and walked right up to the table, got our card and voted. On the way out we stopped and had a couple chocolate chip cookies with the volunteers. back home by 9:15 -
  19. yeah but - but - they don't work, it's been stated - they don't work
  20. That's been around for a while but still brings tears and belly aches from laughing --
  21. Our granddaughter Violet, 3 yrs old and grandson Hayden, 6 yrs old
  22. I think having a female view on this would be GREAT !! Do you know of one that has not tried the Dyna Beads but still insists that they don't work ??
  23. I'm too lazy to go thru and count the pros and cons in this thread but at a glance it seems that the beads WORK Now I find that to be amazing since a reputable source has done irrefutable testing and PROVEN them to be useless !! I can't believe that a USER would know more about a product than a one time tester or even someone that hasn't bothered to try them. Go Figure !!
  24. Mine was easy - wife told me to
