Don - I think it's just fine - when it first showed up, I thought I was in trouble again especially after getting a light spanking for my gibberish about 'you know what' that is now in the classifieds. I think a notification is just great - some people need a nudge to spend some money and a notice of something new is a GOOD thing.

I just re-read your post - The catalytic converter may require some jetting work to you Venture. I know it will have SOME effect, I just don't know what
-
I put them on my 2007 Venture and I remember having to help them a little. Did you clean the receiving end on your exhaust ? There's not a lot of free play and just a little rust/build up can really hinder the sliding. If the RK's have an indentation from a previous clamp, that could be part of, if not all of your problem.

When disc brakes first came out the wheels had to be torqued or you could possibly warp the rotors. That's what I was told back then and I'm sticking to it. Don't know about the newer cars as I haven't seen a torque wrench on a wheel for years. It sounds like the rotor is warped and yes they can be turned , usually ONCE as there isn't too much material in them anymore. However, new rotors have become VERY inexpensive so it might be as easy to replace as to turn them down. jmho

yer gonna hafta bring yer toppings, this ain't no DQ ya know

I'll ask him - don't know if he makes sugar free or not - If he does, I'll have to make it one of the 4 pails. Gotta preference for flavor ? I'll have to be either Vanilla or Chocolate - can't imagine making the other 2 flavors in sugar free

After riding 800 miles, ice cream would be the LAST thing on my mind. OK - maybe not last - sleep, beer and ice cream and not necessarily in that order
-
Home-made Ice Cream on Saturday - Friday and Sunday yer on yer own - SEE - there is a good reason to go to the local DQ !! Sorry Tom
-
Just wanted to bring this to the forefront - 79 degrees here today and the DQ was busy all day. I already ordered 4 pails of ice cream, one Chocolate, one Vanilla, one Black Cherry and one Peanut Butter Cup. Keith will make it and have it frozen for me just before MD so it will be as fresh as it can be. (for Big Tom) each pail has nearly 5 gallons, go ahead and bring your own spoon, I'll take care of ya

Not to worry - my son thinks it's a crime because I refuse to get texting on my Droid. I keep telling him that if someone has time to text, they can call me and be done. "But" he say's, "everybody texts" Evidently not everybody 'cause I don't, besides if a customer wants me they'll either email or call.
-
I have a Droid something, big screen, slides open for a key pad but seldom use it that way, it has voice something so I can talk and it types, I don't do text things just email, only had it for 6 or 7 months - works great, except in steel buildings

I have to agree - I own a Venture almost by accident, not the highway type, but by trial and error. I bought and sold 3 bikes in less than 4 months trying to find the right one then my wife sat on a Venture and liked how it fit her so that's what we bought and still have.

need to try new clutch basket
Hummingbird replied to stareied's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Is that the same # that my dealer would use when ordering the basket ? My Venture is still under warranty and I'm going to have it changed out. -
fat chance of winning - the most you'll get out of it is more spam/snail mail promoting and soliciting onstar sign ups. I didn't/won't bother pushing the button on mine - Good luck

Congrats - I recently got a Dell laptop and had a dickens of a time adjusting to W7 - with a lotta help from THE wizard I'm running just fine.

I've had more than several Garmins, all in the car and truck and have a Garmin 550 w/xm on the bike. I'm totally happy with the 550 and if it died I'd probably try to find a re-built one somewhere.

if you're only getting a $300 refund - you need to get some more deductions motorcycles don't count, just more dependents

Don, just got back from Florida to visit my mother and this is not the type of posts I imagined coming back to. I get a physical annually and the psa test is a very important part of that regimen, fortunately my tests have been good. My thoughts and prayers are with you Don and I'm sure this will prove to be a positive experience for you. Dick -
