I alternate between ice tea and Michelob Ultra - Ice tea for driving, Michelob for fishing, tv'ing, watching the cats, listening to wife and honey do list, mowing the yard and anything else that doesn't require my full attention.

it seems that anybody that displays an enormous amount of stupidity and lives through it then becomes an advocate, not sure I'd want the entire world to see

Be aware of your debit / credit cards while traveling
Hummingbird replied to Lone Eagle's topic in Watering Hole
I've never had a debit card, never made any sense to get one when my mc pays me back up to 5%. I always have a credit on my statement when I get the bill and now they have a program in effect that lets the payback accumulate till the end of the year and @ $1500 to $3000 a month, it adds up. -
probably in the classifieds - that's where stuff usually goes

We have been on and off about the Cody rally and had decided to go right up until we stumbled upon a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. Linda taught High School Latin and all about the Romans for her teaching career. Guess where we are going on the 22nd of August ? I know the rally is almost a month before that, however, retirement only affords a limited amount of funds for fun time. The Mediterranean won this time. Maybe next year -

I learned a long time ago not to take the wife shopping for anything. Her last car was a complete surprise because she didn't even know she was getting a new one. She made a mistake and left me alone for a whole weekend - left on Friday afternoon and didn't come back til Sunday late. When she did get home her new (1 year old) car was in the drive with a big red bow covering the hood. Her first comment was "did you sell my other car already ? " Nope - we can do that later - she doesn't leave me at home alone anymore

oh - btw, glad you're not seriously hurt - running saw blades can do a lot of damage.
-
Pictures - when you stick you finger in the table saw, we need on the spot pictures like the ones attached. # 1 was taken in the garage a few minutes after I tested the blade ( you can see the blade works ) #2 was taken at the hospital after they cleaned it up and before they sewed it up

I've got a small job going on and it's about half done. The bad news is that the contractor is not here today - the good news is that he called me at 7:50 am and explained why. The bad news is that a tree fell on his dad's house and he has to remove it. The good news is, nobody was hurt. More good news, I haven't given him a cent towards the project but he has charged all the material to my account at the lumber yard. btw - anybody have any of the stamps for concrete ? We're putting in a sidewalk and as an afterthought, we decided to make it look not like a new sidewalk.

I had 2 motorTrike conversions but they were on GoldWings. One was a 1995 and the other was a 1998 and I wasn't all that happy with either one of them because of the suspension. The solid axle didn't deliver the comfort for my passenger and that made for less riding.
-
I've paid for materials in the past and will most likely do it again but NEVER shell out cash for labor before the job is done.

That's great news Tom and to celebrate I'll have a bowl of Reeses peanut butter ice cream tonight. Too bad you're not here to help with some of the left over ice cream from MD

Not good business practices - for either one of you. When he sobers up and if he can remember where he left his tools - ahh, never mind - it's too late now

Thanks Mike - would you suggest just leaving the lawn boy as it is but check my oil ratio a little closer ?

never heard of a cpr mask and my first aid kit is a band aid, wet wipes and tums. First aid kits are like a bucket list and you know who makes bucket lists ? Those that plan on doing stuff before they die. Therefore - no bucket list, no first aid kit. That's right , not gonna get hurt either.

in todays world, the $12 fee is quite a bit of money to some of them. To me, it's not worth mentioning when you consider that gwrra wants $50 or $60 for the same privilege. Yeah, they also have a magazine but -
-
got it - the reason I was thinking about seafoam in the lawn boy was when I changed the plug I noticed a lot of black stuff on top of the piston - cuts down on the combustion chamber ( more compression ?) but also isn't right.
-
I seen the numbers but fortunately I can't count that high so - - - -
-
understand what you are saying but I can't sort out the difference between putting 1/2 oz seafoam in 2 1/2 gals of gas and doing the same thing to 2 1/2 gals of gas and with 8 oz. of oil already in it. It's STILL 1/2 oz of seafoam no matter when you put it in. is it that the seafoam will 'cut' the oil after the oil is already in the gas and not cut it by putting it in before the oil ? It'll be pretty difficult to mess up the outboard, it's got it's own gas tank. This is getting waaaaay too complicated - probably should bite the bullet and go to a 4 stroke lawn mower, it's just that those old 2 strokes are really reliable - (sometimes )
-
UH-OH - My Johnson outboard has it's own oil tank with a pump, so the oil and gas is not mixed until it reaches somewhere in the motor. The gas is a 12 gallon separate tank, so I guess I would just add seafoam as per recommended ratio ? The lawn boy mower mixes, and I only mix 2 1/2 gallons at a time so a few drops is probably going to handle that. It's been hard starting lately so something is amiss, not the plug, I changed that.
-
Thanks guys - I have a lawn boy 2 stroke also, guess I'll put some in that as well. I was concerned that the seafoam would 'clean' the cylinder and perhaps lead to a bigger problem.

A farmer told me a long time ago " It's not how deep a furrow you plow, it's how long you stay in the field "
