  1. I'll look at my RK's, maybe I've got a set that aren't as "new" - btw - everything is for sale
  2. I'm only going to say this once more I have a set of RK's that have not been drilled or punched or poked or whatever other things people do to RK's and I'd think about a trade -
  3. I've got a set of RK's that are near new - drill 'em to suit yourself btw - what's cheap - it's really a relative term, so I'll need clarification
  4. Thank You Brian, we don't get out west too often but we have been North of Toronto several times. North of Hawkestone - I think ??
  5. kinda hard to believe but when I was in Mexico I avoided Corona like the plague but I accidently got one in Italy and it's pretty good. I do have half a case of Ultra in the garage fridge and it'll probably stay there until I can't get Sangria.
  6. Annie - it looks like Linda and I will be coming 'down under' sometime after Thanksgiving. We'll be going to Melbourne and Sydney to meet some business acquaintances then I want to fly over to Tasmania. Not sure how long we'll be there but I'll take a couple days to have a 'walk about' but I'm going to drive it. I was looking at fresh water fishing and it looks just like here in the States, I'm definitely going to do that.
  7. I ( in error ) decided a long time ago not to do a bucket list. I've changed my mind - after looking around Australia, I've decided that I want to do some fresh water fishing in Australia, then perhaps the next day deep water ocean fishing. What makes this doable is that it only costs just less than $100 US for a 6 hour charter for either. Of course the 27 hour flight could be a pain but that's why someone invented Bud Light.
  8. When I had my knee replaced 3 years ago I took oxycodone for 3 days, then switched to Tramadol mostly because it's non-narcotic and I didn't need the heavy drugs.
  9. I bet your out of pocket costs are more like $3,000.00 a year. Medicare + Supplement + Part D does not equal $0. I don't have any idea what the costs are before I see a Dr. Don't really care because I don't have too much control over that part. When I said out of pocket expenses, that's just what it is - less than $100 a year. I found that when I was taking Tramodol for my knee, the VA charged me $8 for one prescription. I got the same thing at Drug Mart for $3.99 - didn't make a whole lot of sense to drive 20 miles for a prescription I could get 3 miles away for half the money.
  10. With regard to VA care - Hopefully it has changed from 6 or 7 years ago because we have a LOT of vets that need help but when I needed help it was inept, insufficient and in my case useless and ineffective with emphasis on what appeared to be an overburdened system. I made an executive decision and immediately sought out the surgeons group that had done the last 3 surgeries and got the problem resolved under regular medical coverage with minimal co-pays. When I became eligible for medicare, I enrolled in a local plan with a $500 prescription deductible, $20 co-pay for Dr. and $35 co-pay for a specialist. I have a total of $95 co-pays this year and so far this calendar year I have spent $14.99 out of pocket for prescriptions. Wish I could remember - got it, Aultcare is my medicare provider.
  11. FB is obviously a great venue - millions upon millions have fallen into the err I mean millions upon millions have jioned or signed up or whatever it is ones does to be able to see/post/read on it. Guess I'll never know what makes it special - but that's just me.
  12. Not sure about his circumstance but he was totally happy with the Ridley and the fact that he could ride, I believe he was 2 up on occasion.
  13. You might reconsider if that was the only way you could ride. Several years ago at one of our poker runs a fellow was limping up to register and I asked if he had a bad knee. "nope" he said, don't have a knee. He was riding a Ridley and he was there every wednesday evening all summer for our cruise in's. He was an avid rider with an amputated leg but determined to ride and ride he did. The automatic transmission was the only way (for him) to do it.
  14. Tom - I'm working on it !! It's possible I might be able to get some saw dust to the rally -
  15. Naw - it's a corporate phone. there are 3 of us with a 4000 minute a month plan. It's only about $300 a month but I have to watch the minutes, when it approaches 4000, I increase it to 6000. Only costs $50 versus we know how much if it goes over. So, the upfront cost was $100 with ( you're right) a 2 year contract of $10 a month.
  16. I got the Incredible - a lot lighter than the Motorola Droid. Bad news, darn things are listed for $439.00 Good news, it only cost $99.00 How can they do that and who pays $439 for a phone ?
  17. didn't weigh them but the Motorola Droid is obviously heavier than the Incredible. Weight probably wouldn't make any difference except that I carry my phone in my shirt pocket and I find that I don't need the key pad since the touch panels have gotten so user friendly since my first Blackberry.
  18. Global means that I con use it here in the states as well as in Europe without any changes. Not a lot of phones are cdma as well as gsm. The Incredible looks like the one to get, has a 1.0 ghz ? processor and won't cost a fortune.
  19. I find myself at a crossroads AGAIN ! I currently have a Motorola Droid but it's not global. I guess when I got it, it fell into the window of non-global droids. So, I have to get another phone and the HTC Incredible seems to be the one - it doesn't have a slide out keyboard (I don't need that type) and is lighter. Anybody have one of the Incredibles and if so any problems ?
  20. does that apply to New York as well ??
  21. I haven't a clue if the law (in Ohio ) has been changed or not but it used to be that you must wear a helmet if you were under 18 years of age OR if you have had a motorcycle endorsement for less than 12 months. SO After 18 you are not required to wear a helmet, after holding an endorsement for 1 year, you are not required to wear a helmet. Don't remember ANYTHING about boots above the ankle, joe rocket kevlar jackets or padded gloves written into the law. Good Golly people, accidents happen, it's part of the life cycle. Anybody over the age of 30 has got to have that figured out by now.
  22. PT IS the answer. I found that a recliner is most helpful for pt in that you can actually balance a glass of wine while you dangle your knee over the arm of the chair. Then all you have to do is flex your knee and at the end of the glass just whimper a little about the pain and she'll bring you another glass of whine. I found that about 2 hours of pt in the evening was good for a litre of wine every 3 days, so budget wisely
  23. I will never understand why someone would post pictures of kids on the internet to begin with. Sending pics to friends is no big deal, buy would someone be compelled to post where the entire world would have access ? Just don't understand - - -
  24. does that come under the "oooops" category or perhaps the stupid category ?
