naaaaah - those guys don't do that kind of thing, if you don't believe me ask Precilla Presley
  2. Ifn' I did Facebook I could probably see that
  3. Hey puc - A couple days ago I went to Barnes & Noble and bought the newest edition of the Websters Collegiate dictionary and the first thing I looked up was VentureRider Ambassador and there was a picture of you - i did find it interesting that I was the only one that noticed anything in your video
  4. WOW !! 126 views and nobody wants to ruffle feathers - just stick a fork in me, 'cause I'm done
  5. I guess I'm the first one here so I'll go ahead and say it. Harley = no helmet You are probably our most notable and verbal representative of bike riding but ? nice bike, you shoud go ahead and bite the bullet, put in in the garage
  6. That pretty much sums up my last couple trikes. Wife was uneasy on 2 wheels because of close calls and several years back we had a seriously close call but we were on a trike. Brake, swerve then swerve again and still upright and was able to get turned around in the street to find the young "perp" at the curb and he was actually more scared than I was angry. I think he may have peeed his pants - all in all it worked out OK He pulled out in front of us and swore he didn't see the big red trike - Oh well
  7. right there with you Dan
  8. Don, I know what you mean about having a bike in the garage and not using it. I've been doing that for quite a few years and everytime I sell one I get the "empty garage" syndrome and go buy another bike knowing full well I won't ride it like it should be. It's nice having one on hand when I do decide to ride. I guess the good thing is I haven't made a payment on a bike for 30 years - that's why it doesn't boother me to let them sit in the garage
  9. someone told me a while back that "a woman is as old as she looks and a man isn't old until he stops lookin"
  10. ah yeah, now I remember - you got that one down in Westerville, that was a heck of a deal. I had 2 level 4 Honda trikes sitting in the garage because they were priced right. 43K just sitting there, the difference being that I can make more out of my garage than the bank will give me even on that kind of $$$
  11. This may be hard for some to digest but my first trike was simply because I wanted one. I can't possibly be the only one here that does that but nobody else has fessed up so maybe I am alone.
  12. Why is it that so many riders think you have to be OLD to get a trike ? I just turned 73 on January 30 and I bought my first trike, a 1998 Honda, 15 years ago. I was 58 at the time, is that old ? Between then and now I've had 4 two wheeler's and 3 other trikes with the present one a 2009 RSV w/Hannigan kit and only 7000 miles on the odometer Ok, so there's two questions
  13. Yeah, they're fusee's - the clerk evidently mistook fuses for fusee's. I think they are called flares now but they used to be called FUSEE's oooops, guess my age is showing
  14. Well, I dont see a spike in the end. I guess he was correct but I do believe them to be just a tad longer than the disconnect will accept and I can't see how they will pass current but then I'm not an hvac mechanic.
  15. The RSV with the pillow top seats are so much more comfortable than any goldwing I have had starting with a new 1978, 85, 89, 98, 05, 07, 08 and back to an RSV with one in between somewhere. Pretty sure I missed a wing or two, point is the wing has more power but (imho) rides like a john deere tractor with a pine 2x6 for a seat. Again, that jmho and if it's not allowed her, someone delete it
  16. Just curious - Did ANYBODY notice that I posed a question ? no need to respond, it's rhetorical just like everything else
  17. just a thought because I don't have any plastic that I care about BUT wuoldn't mineral oil do the same thing and if you used mineral oil you wouldn't have the worry about the rancid effect after the sun hits it. jmho
  18. When Linda and I leave the house and the dryer is running she always says "better turn the dryer off til we get back" I have always thought it silly but I was/am wrong, never know when something can happen Glad your damage was held to clothes, some paint and of course the dryer.
  19. 50 caliber ? be better to throw the caseing at the squirrel 'cause the recoil from the 50 would twist the frame on the scoot, throw goat to the ground and allow the squirrels to mark their territory (if ya know what I mean)
  20. As best I can ascertain, there are no benefits to working on a 1099 except for the contractor himself. You will probably need to provide liability ins. which in most cases amount to a million plus and of course there are absolutely no benefits to you. ie: workers comp, insurance, vacation etc
  21. It was real close to trash, they are already sitting on the floor by the wastebasket. Had Du-Rron not pointed out that they were the same as nearly everything else I would have dumped them. I didn't see ypour last message til afterwards.
  22. puc - you are absolutly correct EXCEPT for dummies like me. I searched for nearly an hour and finally asked for help and got it here.
  23. Trying to figure out what happened here ? I started out lost trying to find info on filter for my RSV, got more info than I could digest then tried to dispose of filters for Honda wings that I previously owned, then find out I have a 6 year supply of Yamaha RSV filters. What a site and what a lot of help - Thanks all !!
  24. You're welcome eck and thanks for the filter info
  25. There was 2 people interested in the Honda filters I have but evidently I'm too greedy so if they have any value at all let me know before I throw them in the trash Friday.
