  1. yep, love that snow. I might as well give in, I can't stay here in MELBOURNE forever - as a matter of fact, only a few more days:bang head:
  2. Best of luck Jonny, burns are the worst pain one can have --
  3. Linda and I got here to Melbourne Austarlia a couple days ago and have hardly stopped. Dining is a real experience on Ligon street as there are 2 blocks on both sides of the street with sidewalk cafes. Decisions, decisions - the easiest way to decide is to look at their menu that's posted on the sidewalk or in their window is to and check out which beer or wine we want with our meal. The zoo, Melbourne Museum, Victoria Market - shoulda brought the bike when I see how much walking we're doing. None the less, we're having way too much fun
  4. Have a GREAT time - Pleasure or business ??
  5. yeah, Nigeria is one big internet wifi.
  6. We're really looking forward to some of the day trips - The Yarra wine tour is first, mainly because I don't have to drive and the sampling will only affect my walking
  7. Plane leaves CAK at 3:05 this afternoon and we'll be in Melbourne Australia Thursday AM. The longest flight will be from LAX to Melbourne (about 15 hours) We have an itinerary set up which will have us doing anything we want to do Bottom line ? really feel bad for Big Tom and his sn-- NOT
  8. getting too easy doesn't have anything to do with it. I'm sure we both remember that picture of you posing with your friend. ( I think muffinman was there also)
  9. I need my new truck done also - I might get it done when I get back
  10. Polaroid still making cameras ??
  11. Humbly I have to say that WOW isn't adequate. Those pics are outstanding. My problem with photography is that I'm too lazy for constant adjustment and virtually EVERY one of my pics go to a web site or are emailed to somebody, again more adjusting just to send. Consequently, I use a point and shoot for everything and at the lowest setting even for vacations.
  12. by the time you see this, you will have a phone call from, well you know yer welcome
  13. Thanks but now her frugal attitude kicks in - she has yet to BUY any books. She always gets them at the library and I'm forced to listen to some really good (???) books when we go on a driving trip. Which is often enough to make me trade my 09 Silverado on a new 2001 last month.( too many miles) Does the "readers" do voice ? I didn't think they even had a speaker
  14. Big Tom - I totally agree but Who's gonna eat them ?
  15. and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours
  16. Melbourne, will be there on the 8th for a week then up to Sydney for a couple days. It's supposed to be a business trip but you know how fishing always interferes with business Where ya goin ? if you're in the area PLEASE give me a call 330-754-5640 or call the Best Western Travel Inn 61-3-93477922 I'm just dying to go to an Outback Restaurant in Australia.
  17. This is the one you should really get (my dream camera) http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...k_III_SLR.html I have 2 of these on order - one to carry in the trunk of the bike and a second one for the truck. NOT
  18. I've deliberately ignored all of the 'readers' because my wife prefers to listen as opposed to reading. So my question is "is there something that downloads a voice instead of text ? "
  19. Big Tom - I just checked the 10 day forecast for me and Linda. Average 78 degrees, 10% chance of rain. Did I mention that we're leaving for Australia Tuesday afternoon ?

  23. I haven't met anybody that dislike enough to wish this cold (flu) on. I've been fighting it for 3 weeks now and even the codeine cough syrup isn't any fun. But I am anxious to see hoe the Deka works out.
  24. as big a pain as they are to change out I wonder if it's easier to just buy another house I kinda enjoy moving every 15 or 20 years
  25. Deka gelcell delivered $99 I tried to start the Venture and nothing, not hardly a click. After a quick search I found that Skydoc 17 (Earl) sold batteries. All the reports said that the Deka was a good choice so I called and Earl had it in the mail on Monday. Wednesday it was in the bike and I was enjoying a short ride - would have been a longer ride if I didn't have this doggone flu. Thanks Earl
