  1. I went to Fin, Fur and feather yesterday to get a couple new rods and reels to replace our older rods we use for crappie fishing. I guess I should have looked at the prices - 3 reels, 2 rods and tax = $298.00 OUCH ! I had a little cash left so I went upstairs to look at the Kimbers knowing they wouldn't have anything that would fit like my Glock. First I looked at and held the Solo, I know it's not fair but it reminded me of the KelTec I have. Then I asked what other options were available in 9MM. The clerk brought out an Ultra CDP 11, that's when it happened - I was totally smitten I started breathing heavy, broke out in a light sweat and when I could talk again I asked if he had one in a box. No was his response and he just stood there - After a short (very short) awkward moment, I told him to put it in a box before somebody else saw it. :mo money: In line at the cash register a guy looked at me and said - your first Kimber ? I replied yes and he his offered congratulations saying "you'll like it " Bottom line - Don't go to a well stocked sporting goods store without your wife !
  2. you're most likely correct but as I said, it's therapy. Scammers work on the odds system when they send an email. If they send out 100,000 eamils and get 1/2% to respond with then they win. If I reply with however many I send back and if even one of them get thru and takes up their time, I WIN Again, therapy - now it's almost daylight, I'm going fishin' more therapy
  3. with all of the ya's & na's over which filter is better, I have yet to see/hear about anybody that trashed their cylinders with dirt because either filter failed to do it's job.
  4. I probably shouldn't do it BUTTTTT I save most of those emails and every time I get a new one I copy and paste all of the other ones individually and reply to them. I send out 15 or 20 emails a week that way, only take about 10 minutes. I use that for my aggression therapy.
  5. condolences sent your way Dick
  6. it is REALLY kewt but I just can't see it in my garage, or shed, or in the field at the warehouse
  7. bad - bad - bad was it a link, I missed it
  8. Our condolences - loosing a child is one thing we shouldn't have to face Dick & Linda
  9. Sure - it figures, I bought Mobile 1 and filter last week for my truck ( take's 6 quarts) I don't remember how much it was but I know when I left they didn't give a whole lot of change from a $100 dollar bill. I did buy a locking gas cap for the truck as well - to my knowledge I haven't lost any gas but at $4 buck a gallon it won't surprise me if someone tries
  10. Thanks Ruffy - I guess the whole idea was just a rant but the end result was that there was a 'fixture' installed during surgery and left in her body and we didn't know about it. btw - how's your rehab coming ? remember - no pain - no gain it helps ( a LITTLE ) to take your oxy about an hour before therapy
  11. either before or long after the meds have worn off. ie: Last Saturday Linda and I went to a benefit swiss steak dinner. Saturday evening she started having pains that were thought to be indigestion and by Sunday noon they were near unbearable. ER here we come. Gall bladder and chest/shoulder pain. After 6 hours of tests and waiting she was admitted to the hospital. After a couple scans of some sort it was decided to do a cat scan. The result of all the tests was inflamed gall bladder and a wire tube running from her chest area to her abdomen. Of course there's a lot more to it but the bottom line is that the pain dissipated after 2 days and we now wonder how she made it the the airports without an international incident. The Dr's office said the Intraperitoneal 'tube' was on her chart, however it seems that nobody told either one of us about it even being installed during her ovarian cancer surgery. Now we both have concerns about it because the port for her chemo caused blood clots because it was left in too long and as everybody knows, blood clots are no fun and can be deadly. Sorry about the long verbage -
  12. Ruffy - staples are a piece of cake. I'm pretty sure they come out a LOT easier than stitches. I had 4 invasive surgeries on my rt knee before the tkr and I'm here to tell you, staples do not require meds. One thing SURE - it's an old cliche but with regard to rehab, NO PAIN really does mean NO GAIN Good luck and don't hate your instructors, they're just trying to help you.
  13. one of us never will do facebook am I missing something ? naw
  14. I don't have a debit card, never will but I have a few credit cards (4 to be exact) and I've never had any trouble or residual problems from using them in any of the countries we have visited

  16. dunno - I got 'em also, they're in the parts drawer now. Hopefully if I ever need them I'll remember where I put 'em
  17. Just a WILD guess but perhaps the leak is in the THROTTLE cable
  18. Yammer Dan said You should never have shown that!!Now all the 2nd Genners will want one!!! Totally acceptable from a Venture rider with a history of 1st gens Kic said Could that be what psychologists call an inferiority complex ? inferior to what ? a newbie with a 20 + year old bike, naw
  19. I find it really interesting that with less than 3 months experience on a 1st gen and absolutely NO experience on a 2nd gen that such an attitude can be expressed with such authority. Could that be what psychologists call pack mentality ?
  20. Give me a call when you get settled, I live in Malvern, just 20 minutes from Bowerston. I'd be happy to show you a couple roads. As a matter of fact, you can get from Bowerston to the Ohio river, about 2 hours away and only see ZERO traffic lights, not to mention one of the best kept secret restaurants around. Getting back is a little different, might have 3 traffic lights to contend with.
  21. for $100,000 it can probably come in any color
  22. Have you looked at renting a hospital bed ?? they can't be that expensive, besides you'll most likely only need it for a couple weeks.
  23. That's OAK street !! :rotfl:
  24. I guess you're probably right, what with all the upkeep and parts searching - a 1st gen probably is more expensive
