naw - there's nothing anybody can do about it BUT when someone is caught and gets 'downsized' and out of work because costs are too high - - - - I guess that's why we have unions, to keep 'em working

I've herad horror stories about stones, I've been lucky enough to not have had them. Good luck with recovery and with your knee

I have 2 things that just aggravate the hell outta me #1 -- cell phone at the work place being used for everything but work #2 -- personal use of the internet on company/work time

Thanks guys - I have a confession long story short - do not take percocet with wine as the chaser. It could possibly make you sleep until all pain meds are depleted from your system and your shoulder hurts more than anybody ever thought it might. ( don't ask me how I know this to be a FACT !! ) I guess all of the professionals that told me not to do that really do know what they are talking about

You got that right

I'll start - have fun, be nice "It's not rocket surgery"

I had my rotator cuff surgery this morning at 9:30, it was arthroscopic surgery which is really nice (less invasive) and of course he found more than the mri indicated. He put in 5 anchors, filled a hole, trimmed a spur and glued a bunch of stuff to the anchors. Not sure yet what actually went on because he had to poke a 4th hole in my shoulder on the upper back side. I'll get the total story on the 22nd when I have my post surgery office visit. I haven't taken any percocet yet because the nerve block is still keeping the pain level to a zero factor but I'm pretty sure that by morning or most likely in the middle of the night I'll be ready. The Dr. assured me that by mid May I might be able to ride - He said that with a grin and I took it as merely conversation. I normally post pictures when I have some bleeding but they wouldn't let me take my cell phone into surgery

A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation in Jerusalem . While they were there, the wife passed away . The undertaker told the husband, "You can have her buried here in the Holy Land for $150 or we can have her shipped back home for $5,000 .The husband thought about it and told the undertaker he would have her shipped back home. The undertaker asked him, "why would you spend $5,000 to have her shipped home when you could have a beautiful burial here, and it would only cost $150???? "The husband replied, "Long ago, a man died here, was buried here, and three days later, rose from the dead . I just can’t take that chance!"

Don't know what I expected so maybe I wasn't even disappointed I would liked to have taken the plant tour but it was shut down - probably for a new model change
-
I've heard a lot of good about that place and this year it's going to be on one of my ride lists
-
I don't remember what the full rate was because at the time I really didn't care. I was going in regardless, but the senior rate made my disappointment easier to take.

Thanks Bill - we did have fun but it took 3 days to find a restaurant that served hotcakes and eggs. We were stuck with a doughnut and coffee til a local told us about Norma's diner outside of town - good breakfast Got the boiler shipped to Miami, got a wire transfer and everybody is happy

I have driven past it half a dozen times and when I went to Texas this time I told myself that I was going to finally stop on the way back. I am so happy that they offered a senior discount, it only cost me $8 to take the self guided tour, watch a short movie and reject the picture option of me sitting in or standing beside several different models. The museum was of course beautiful, crammed with corvettes and I did pick up some information that may or may not come in handy if I'm ever confronted by a Corvette afficianado. Might have really been upset if I would have had to pay full admission price
-
that's why I'm spending a week in Texas, they keep saying everything gets bigger in, no wait, was it get's bigger or is bigger in Texas ? regardless, pretty sure it's not working
-
For the life of me, I can't understand why anybody would deliberately go to Snyder Texas but if you do and you want a GREAT rib eye steak - then Skeets Grill on Colledge Avenue is where you need to be. My warehouse manager and I went there for dinner tonight on recommendations of a couple locals. They don't serve beer but do have some really good sweet tea and the service is head and shoulders above any place I've been lately. For the cost concious, the rib eye is $18.99 for a 12oz. steak with 2 sides. Tea is extra I would rate this place right along side O'Charleys for steak.

I don't know Randy - when he did my rt. shoulder he said it was pretty much standard but this time he kept saying things like "it could be worse than the other one "and you can't compare one to the other" I'm thinking I may be in trouble with regard to the amount of work he has to do to make it right. More work = More pain + more intense therapy but nobody will ever see me cry 'cause I can hold it til I get outta site.
-
As soon as I get back to civilization I'm going to contact my health care provider and see if I can have this procedure done in Toronto. I am TOTALLY curious how marcarl will compare my shoulder to a 1st gen transmission and start taking it out

I got the same set, unfortunately they are designed for lefthanded invisible computer geeks (among other things) and my set came in the plastic version. I think I'll wait for the stainless steel version

A couple weeks ago I visited my surgeon and he x-rayed my left shoulder, immediately ordered an MRI. The results of the MRI - 1 - Large near-full thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon with possible bursal surface communication as above - 8mm in length and 15mm wide 2 - Supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinopathy with evidence of mild chronic latreal outlet impingement 3 - Mild intraarticular biceps tendinopathy 4 - Dry capsular inflamation On my right shoulder (6 months ago) he said it had a small tear that should be repaired with a single, possibly 2 anchors. After a closer look thru arthroscopic surgery it required 5 anchors to repair. Fortunately, the therapy and recovery for that surgery were fantastic - not looking forward to this one with the already dismal results of tests. btw - gonna do this on the 12th of March so that with a little luck I can be riding this season. wish me luck

How long will I have to stay here in Texas for that theory to affect me ?

I thought we had the windmill thing locked up in Ohio but when I kept seeing windmills for miles and miles along the highway my mind had been changed.
