  1. There's an auction up in Vancouver and I'm trying to tell the boss that I should be there to get a close looky at some of the units we want - so far no luck
  2. Bobby - I thought the last one would be the last one, that's what I keep telling linda The 2011 only had 30,000 miles on it but I was skeered about residual front end damage and they made the deal pretty attractive. I bought the same color as the 2011 in the hopes that Linda wouldn't notice that I got another truck but I chickened out and called her the next day to tell her I bought it.
  3. Naw - I try to keep it clean, just can't keep up with the rain
  4. It's been raining all morning, finally stopped for a few minutes - unfortunately it still has road grime on it but maybe these pics will be a little better back up camera, heated seats, bose speakers, memory seats, leather - geeez the things we do as we age.
  5. I really didn't want to but - I was 500 miles from home, damaged front end (all steering and linkage) as well as a little body damage to my 2011 Silverado Z71 LT After considering the long drive back home with a possibly defective steering etc. I decided to just buy a new truck. The Chevy dealer that I had the truck towed to had a 2013 Silverado Z71 LTZ same color as mine and equipped pretty much the same but more. We started haggling at 3 in the afternoon and by 5:30 I owned a new truck. Picked it up the next morning.
  6. Camping, fishing and RIDING What more could a man (or woman) ask for ? WELCOME !!
  7. I'd like to know how you get out of State taxes - I always pay and seldom get any back. Good thing, I got enough fed back this year to half pay for our trip to Europe
  8. Pinwall Stores http://stores.ebay.com/PinWall-Cycle-Parts-Inc is this the part ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/83-Yamaha-Venture-XVZ1200-1200-RIGHT-FAIRING-/190592183734?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2c602dedb6
  9. The simple solution is to quit earning so much money - problem solved.
  10. I would give up a day on the bike for a day like that anytime I could - Geeeeeze that had to be a great day
  11. We always get some of our own money back. Linda spends hours upon hours gathering info and receipts and gives it all to our cpa. This is the first year he filed electronically and I still don't understand how but the refund was in MY checking account within 2 weeks. The only mistake she did this year was letting the refund go to MY account instead of hers.
  12. Jonesy - my point exactly. wages, whether thought to be over or under rated (paid) aren't so much the problem. It's how those wages are wasted on management decisions. Timely manner doesn't mean to spend $1.00 to get a 15 cent item delivered (ok , I know - a little extreme but you get the point)
  13. unlike you, I can be had for a large scoop of home made ICE CREAM
  14. you're right - it is what it is. The problem is that your lobbyists are as powerful as theirs. We just need to elect someone that will do as we ask, not do as they are bribed to do. uhoh - did I really say that ??
  15. So it was the then presidents fault ? Congress and lobbyists had nothing to do with it ?
  16. I used to turn the boxes inside out all the time until they started printing the inside as well. As already mentioned, it is against the law. It always helps to have a scale handy to check your weight - Priority flat rate isn't always the right way
  17. will a 1st gen actually pull a trailer ?
  18. I traveled that stretch 2 to 4 times a year for 22 years and was lucky enough to have made it Ok despite several fog-ins
  19. Getting a lawyer is REAL easy to say, not so easy when you look for one that will work for you. Lawyers are a picky group, they pick the cases where they can make the most for themselves and in doing that they get the most for the consumer (you). If you have trouble getting a lawyer to handle this incident for you then a trip to your local prosecuting attorney would be in order and present your case to him. He/she could be an invaluable source of information and help especially since you are the 'victim' The bottom line is to GET A LAWYER !! Good luck Earl Dick
  20. Annie - you have mail or a PM let me know if it's something you want to do Dick
  21. Thanks guys - my first St. Judes auction and I wanted to make sure I paid promptly.
  22. I won a couple items on the St Jude auction but I can't find out how to pay - would somebody please enlighten me ??
  23. Good Luck, pay attention and all will be just fine
  24. Good luck with DIY therapy - you can do it yourself and attain great results, just need a little guidance. (that's where the internet might come in handy) And better luck with your priorities - if your only goal is to be able to shift the gears on a bike, I'm thinking you need more that physical therapy don't mean to ruffle feathers but - - -
  25. I've passed state patrol cars right and left and over the speed limit - never had a problem. Somebody already mentioned that it was a set up - and by the biker, I believe that to be true
