6. Hi guys: Light installed, thank you so much, followed your instructions, yellow wire is the stop light. Pics. As for the switch, no problem. I'm going to look for that post on how to service it. Thanks again.
7. Thank you so much. I will make connections and report results. The switch will be great! (Hope you find it) Rudy
8. I'm connecting a Stop LED Light to my '86 Venture, my problem is I don't know what wires to connect to. The new light comes with just two wires, black and white/black and the wires coming from the bike to the housing lights comes with three wires yellow, blue and black. Could somebody please tell me what wire colors to match with? Enclosed pics. The last picture is my clutch switch in need of repair. I know the part number to replace it (thanks to this forum) but the places I've called tell me it is no longer available. Anyone knows where I can get it? Thank you so much. 9. WOW! This is much more than what was expecting, and you have not even started. Thanks again, I'm looking fordward to read an re-read the entire thread. Rudy
10. Oh, I am so interested in reading it, I have a Venture too and a BMW, I can take any bike for a long distance ride. Apart from the normal nerves and fear of traveling solo, I need to know what to do, how to plan, prepare, take, etc. At my young age of 63, I'm just waiting for the opportunity to take my first long distance trip, say California? Rudy:fingers-crossed-emo Willing, able and ready. Thank you so much
11. Thank you, thank you. My plan B was going to install progressive shocks, glad I postponed that.
12. Since I joined this forum in 2010 I have done a bunch of repairs, just following the instructions you kindly. knowledgeable, experienced guys have posted. This afternoon, in less than two hours I just fixed the Class E4 Error by following the instructions posted by Freebird back in 2006. (And I'm not that good wrencher at all, some times I prefer no to start some repairs afraid of not finished them and compromised my weekly Saturday rides with my buddies) I'm so excited I can hardly wait to tell my friends about it. (I mentioned last Saturday and one of them suggest to forget about the compressor and replace it with progressive shock springs, that what he did on his) Well, I'm so glad I did it :) Thank you so much. Rudy:cool10:
13. Holding the lever out the cruise stays longer. Now the switch, could you tell me where it is? please. Rudy
14. Thank you, I will start with the clutch holding the lever fully out... then the switch... I'll post report:fingers-crossed-emo
15. My Venture '86 Royale cruise control is acting up. While on the highway I set it on and five seconds later it disengages itself. Any suggestions?
16. Don't be. I'm glad I did it, this is a learning process for me, thanks again. Rudy
17. I just did what you suggested, took plugs out, and crank it. Nothing, no gas no smell. I'm going to buy new plugs and install 'em. On second look at the oil level window, it is at the FULL LINE, not completely covered with as I thing I saw the first time when I detected the gas smell. Rudy
18. thank you so much! I will do that. Keep you posted Rudy
19. I'm going to replace the oil, and fire it up, I will report the outcome, I think the bike will run as usual, smooth, nice and easy.
20. Yesterday when returning from a short ride and ten minutes after parking the bike in the garage, I notice an awful smell of gasoline, I check and to my surprise I saw the oil window level and IT IS COMPLETELY FULL. I have not touch the fuel cock for quite some time now, last time I did I broke the plastic handler so I just left it alone. Do anyone know what can cause this problem?, I don’t want to move the bike until at least I replace the oil, which I think is mixed with gasoline. All input will be so much appreciated Rudy
21. I still ride my '86 smooth and strong, 23 plus years with her. I ride with two friends one with an '84 and the other with an '89.
22. Ok, I'm going to read it carefully before I do something wrong, I'm sure I'll ask a couple more questions. Thank you so much. Rudy
23. I would like to install running and brake LED tail lights (I understand they don't draw much power from the electric system/battery, right?) and yet they look very cool to me. I'm pretty sure some of you have done it to your rides. Could you please tell me where do I get those, I know I can google it but, I prefer just follow what you have done. Thanks Rudy:)
24. Is it taken already? If not I'm Interested. Rudy, El Paso, TX
