Don't Try this Kiddies. Not nice Border Guards.
slick97spirit replied to mrich12000's topic in Watering Hole
A border guard position is just like a police officer. Continuously being 2nd guessed. These guys are not put in that position because they're PERFECT. They're put there to get a job done. Namely, to try THEIR BEST TO PROTECT YOU. To do that they have to look at individuals with agendas, attitudes, whether hidden or not and they've been trained to do that. What I think is interesting is that if that first or second guard had let that guy through and he killed someone or blew up the mall, this same video would have been used to say that he should have questioned him further because of his ATTITUDE. -
Daniel, you sure you don't have a significant other at that hospital. You seem to find alot of reasons to go there that aren't your fault. Naw, really hope you get to feeling better. I'm down with the croop myself right now. Ken

Hair Question for the Ladies
slick97spirit replied to GolfVenture's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
My wife wears this http://www.whitehorsegear.com/silky-motorcycle-helmet-liner to cut down on helmet itch and not matte her hair down so much. It won't help with tangled hair that is outside of the helmet, but I know that there are leather pony tail holders/braid holders that should take care of that problem. Of course, she could do like I do and just not worry about it, we're riding for crying out loud and will probably never see any of those people again anyway. -
Awesome video & the product looks awesome too.

Is there interest in another VentureRider mug order?
slick97spirit replied to Freebird's topic in Watering Hole
I use mine daily. Best travel mug I've ever used without a doubt. Put me down for one of the 16oz.'ers -
I upshift (no unclutched down shifting) without the clutch if my left hand happens to be full of a 5x50 Nicaraguan stogie. I don't see the harm in doing so if done correctly.

I've replaced both of mine. Got the first one at a good price on that "other" venture site. The 2nd one I got from a member on here that I met at maintenance day. Didn't even have to paint that one. I did ride the bike for some time with the second one broken because I was having a tough time finding one. Good Luck.

Go to Wally world, to their battery dept. and get their tender. I have 3 of them and they work great and are reasonably priced. They will not charge a dead battery. The way they are designed is to maintain a charged battery. Using one will lengthen the life of the battery also. You can only hook one battery to one tender.

Yep, gotta have pictures!!!!!!!!!!!

I've only been able to make it to one maintenance day and planned on going in '11, but memorial day weekend is already booked for a family reunion. I prefer the maintenance day, but if I miss this reunion I'll be excommunicated. So, hoping for an alternative date for maintenance day.............

Dang Monty that's sharp. How do you fit his smile through the door though?

So how well do cowboy boots work with 2nd Gen Controls?
slick97spirit replied to GG54172's topic in Riding Gear
All of the EMT, Police type boots they offer are great as long as it has the zipper. There was some discussion regarding the laces getting caught on the shifter. I tuck the laces (after tying the boot of course) down into the criss crossed laces, then use the zipper from then on out. They're really comfortable, non-slip, and I like the looks of em too. -

Keep in mind....anytime your company responds to a claim, even a subrogated claim, it will show up as a loss against your policy. That is the case in the state of Missouri anyway. Usually 75% is the threshold for a totaled vehicle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can you tell me exactly how to do this. I looked in my setting ap and didn't see this command.

Not sure if I'd call it fun, more like a "heck of a haul," or doable. Not much room for error up there. Just think if you only had one pair of channel locks and you dropped them and that's the only tool that would do the job. I get mad if I drop something and have to bend over to pick it up! LOL

Well I can tell you that I like mine till I get to 85mph one up. If I'm riding two up and loaded for a trip no problems at all. Now I haven't played with the pressure much and according to all that I read that is paramount to success on this "side." I've heard of people running anywhere from 54psi to 32psi. Right now I'm running about 42 psi. I haven't decided if I'm gonna stay, due to high speed wobble, but I'm not that spirited of a rider anyway.

I've had good friends ask me to let them ride my motorcycle. I tell them it takes a $500 cash deposit.. They usually ask what that's for. I tell em that my deductible is $500. I've never stood and watched a friend ride off on my bike.......wonder why?

Well let's see, you know my IP address, who my ISP is, what version of windows I'm running, have you not looked in my garage to see that I don't have that model of locator!!

I don't know, but the idea of online bill pay and online banking back in those days was a clear reference to "The AntiChrist and mark of the beast."
