Don't Tread on Me

Did the smaller front change your speedo any? -
Ha, if that's not computer expert talk, I don't know what is!!!!!! I have no idea what area of the country your talking about!
-
If you get over toward asheville, you gotta check out Maggie Valley. We rode through there last year and loved it.

Boomer.....Who has been subjected to electric shock therapy to make him normal....and the Doc's are still scratching their heads. See, this is what I mean. Hope to some day meet you in person Boomer.

Just thought I'd ask.. One of the ones I always look for is Boomer. He's always interesting, but when I read his, I have to look at the way he signs off. I don't see how he comes up with all of these.

Cheap "dress-up" for those 2nd gen Air Filter covers
slick97spirit replied to SilvrT's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
I've been looking for exactly something like this. The auto parts stores have lots of options too. Just hadn't decided which one I wanted to go with yet. Seeing yours on, really helps. Looks lots better than stock. -
I agree. When you're the one dealing with the loss it's easy to look at it with a one-sided view. We should all put ourselves in the other persons shoes. Now if that person has been drinking, drugging, etc. different story.

I've only owned the RSV since October and I really like it alot so I can't compare it to my shadow. It was 97 shadow spirt (hence the name) that was decked out with pipes, lights, and the works. We rode the heck out of that bike & I'm gonna miss it. But I do love the Venture.

So how well do cowboy boots work with 2nd Gen Controls?
slick97spirit replied to GG54172's topic in Riding Gear
Yep, Bates are the ones I was speaking of earlier. This is all I'll ever use anymore. Really comfortable! -
So how well do cowboy boots work with 2nd Gen Controls?
slick97spirit replied to GG54172's topic in Riding Gear
I'm not crazy about riding with cowboy boots. I've always felt like the leather sole is too slick when I put my foot down. I recently picked up a pair of the black boots that alot of EMT, police, & tactical people wear. I swear by them now. They are like wearing tennis shoes & get good traction. The best kind to get have the laces but also zip up the inside of the leg for ease of putting them on and off. -
I'll bite, what's nitrogen tri-iodide?

I think it'd be a great idea. There've been lots of times that we've stopped to eat at a place that had a catchy name or looked like it would be good only to find out that it wasn't worth the money.

Anybody ever use one of these. Boss took my Nuvi 350 so I thought I'd go ahead and try the upgrade. It's a little larger and has blue tooth capabilities. It also looks like you can use way points to choose your route, something I couldn't do on the other. I can't afford the motorcycle version.

Mine has a velcroed pouch mounted (bought the bike that way) on the handle bar. Don't have any pics of it, but I can get one if you'd like. You plug the ipod in and drop it in the pouch.

Bill, I'm a couple of hours south of you so I'm not sure about every weekend or getting there that early, but I'd like to work it out where I could do it a couple of times a year. Maybe me & the wife and NAKED RIDER & his wife could try to make a couple. I've yet to meet him, but hope to as we begin to ride more. Keep me posted.

Clay, It is my prayer that God will deliver you and those around you safely home. I don't know you personally, but I hope that this measley little Thank You is sufficient for you guys to know how grateful we are for what you voluntarily do. God Bless you and tell all of those around you the same. You guys are always on our mind.

I need to do this, but I'm afraid it's way over my head. I'm definitely not an electrician. Is this too much to do on a maintenance day? Does the fairing have to be opened? I'm afraid my switch is going bad because I do have the passing lamps & I hate to not run them for fear of some cager not seeing me.
