Larry, just wanted to show off your product for everyone to see "In Action" Worked great, very pleased. Well made, I can't say enough good things about it. Any of you guys thinking about this piece of equipment, you should go ahead and pull the trigger. The 2nd Gen on a lift is a scarey, wobbly experience. Put that big heavy thing on this adapter and she's rock solid.

Thought I would post a photo of the stick on chrome I put on the air box last night. What do you guys think? Go ahead I can take it! I chose this stick on cause it looks like a screen for an actual air intake. I had to move it a little forward (off center) because of the two little tabby's that stick off of the back of it.

Rubber Cord holder thingy

Boomer, guess my rubber cord thingy description wasn't adequate. The thingy I'm talking about is a U shaped cradle that the cord/plug for the headset sits in on the left side of the top of the tank. I'm also responding to this just to see what your tag's gonna be at the end of your reply -
I'm looking for the little rubber holder that sits on the gas tank that holds the cord for the headset. Anyone have one they'd be willing to part with?

Hard to say, this bike has sooo much more on it than any other I've ever had. If I had to list them in order of preference: 1)Running lamps 2)Backrest 3)Air horn 4)CD changer (audio system including ipod dock) 5)Highway pegs That's enough, I'm starting to grin a little.

Thanks much. 51st week of 07

I've looked through tons of threads on this and can't find it in any of them. If it's there it's lost within a ton of replies on each one. Anyhoo, can someone tell me how to tell the age (born on date) of a tire. I know that somewhere on there is the week and year or manufacture, but I can't decode it on this new tire I got from motorcycle superstore.

Boomer....who never plans on having oral s*x with his motorcycle. Boomer, you are a riot. This one should go into the classics forum!!!!

Here you go Larry. Mine has a pouch on the back for the navigators gloves, etc. Hope the attachment works! -
I rolled on the floor watching the rifle, but the pistol, now that was even better.

Right there with ya on the proud of my son thingy. My son just graduated from police academy in Knoxville, Tn. Something he's wanted to do all of his life. As soon as he finished college, he went to academy.

Without a doubt, my favorite thread since joining this site!

Is it etched on the outside or inside of the shield? What about the scratch resistant coating that is there? Just wondering if it would begin to peel at the edges of the etching?

Dang, now that there is impressive.

UH OH! Didn't know that a friend had to give it to you. What if you don't have any friends? -
I gotta vouch for the downtown area. They have some great restaurants there and I believe a micro brewery (right Bill?) It's a neat area. The wife and I spent a really nice day walking around down there a year or so ago while a light snow fell. Really cool. Looked like one of those pictures you'd see in a calendar with people in period dress. Awesome!

I'm also in the process of ordering a front tire. The Avon I saw on Southwest's site has a speed rating of "H", is that o.k.? I'm not sure here. Also, which site has the best prices, Southwest or Motorcycle Superstore? Really struggling here on whether to order the Avon or the E3. I have a Metzler on the rear.
