  1. Squid, One other thing I learned during my ordeal was that I was running malwarebytes and avg at the same time. The geek squad said that is not a smart thing to do as they kind of work against each other. Also, the laptop I'm on now has the Norton 2010 on it and it's about 4 1/2 years old so if this one can handle it, just about any PC can. Ken
  2. Rode right past the darn thing this last week and couldn't justify the time it would've taken to ride down then back. Wouldn't you know they'd open it the day we come home.
  3. Squid, I was using AVG free and picked up a really nasty virus that I had to pay to have removed. After removal, I asked what the best protection is and to my surprise, they said Norton. Now I have always hated Norton, but the guys said that Norton 2010 was a revamped and really good product. I decided to go ahead and try it and I have to admit that I really do like it. It does not bog the unit down like the old one used to. Ken
  4. My inlaws have a home down there. Pretty impressive golf cart show!!!!!
  5. Those are the guys I want to avoid when I ride that road! IMHO
  6. Bumble Bee, I was in Helen on the 5th. We were riding a Millenium. Traffic in town was the pits. Wish I had known you were gonna be there but we didn't have internet access. We were only there for one night then headed up to Asheville, NC. Sure was some pretty riding along the way. Sorry GA venture riders for not letting anyone know we were in the area. We didn't know where we were gonna end up when we left Knoxville. Cool little town tho.
  7. A little heads up here. We just returned from making a big loop from home (2 hours south of St. Louis) to Knoxville, to north Georgia, back up to Asheville then back to Knoxville. While in Asheville we were in a restaurant eating. There were some Harley riders there. They came in looking for me to let me know that their helmets were stolen off of their bike while they were inside. When they called the cops to get permission to ride helmetless, the cop told them that they've been having a big problem with that around the area. The druggies are pawning the helmets for $5 or 10 bucks for dope money. Luckily I had my helmets locked on. I rarely ever do that. Just had one of those gut feelings.
  8. Man, what a great trip. We wanted to do an east coast (N. Carolina) trip this year, but it just didn't work out. Always wanted to ride & camp along the coast.
  9. I've eaten a couple slices of the crow pie myself since joining. Don't give it a second thought, I can tell you that no else on here will.
  10. I'm not so sure I wouldn't have them fix it anyway so that you don't run into issues later on after warranty runs out.
  11. Be careful, enjoy the ride both ways. I'm still loving the khrome werks.
  12. :clap2::clap2:

  14. SideOTR, looks like a cooler rack to me! Good Job.
  15. Tom, I think there's a couple of spots on the side of your new ride that's lacking for lights. You should think about LED's............Just kidding:sign green with env of course, beautiful machine.
  16. Just got my Road Kings swapped out to the Khrome Works I picked up from Godlover. I am really liking the sound of those. Sounds kind of Maserati'ish... Good looking pipes too.
  17. Boss, we know your no complainer, but now that you mention picking up after ourselves. I have to admit to that scotch bottle laying next to the drive way may have had mine and someone elses DNA all over it. I blame Goose tho, I had no intention of drinking it all. I had trouble finding my tent, much less bending over to pick up that derned bottle.
  18. I've heard lots of positive's. The only negative that I've heard was that bugs come through and are directed at your teeth!
