  1. I did on mine. It was just Crappy Tire brand contact cleaner. Like I said mine now works when before I bought the bike last year it did not.
  2. Cool! Then you likely have the cracked solder joint syndrone! You could try cleaning all the connections again even at the compressor!
  3. Well if that didn't fix it i would suspect the unit itself is defective since it will not boot up. I'm sure someone with more experience with these unit will know one way or the other. Cleaning all the connections on mine solved my problems.
  4. Have you checked or cleaned the connections at the back of the unit. (big white plug)? There is also a tech article in the first gen section that tells you how to repair it if it's more than just a dirty, poor or corroded connection.
  5. Ben, You don't need me to tell you how lucky you are to be still alive. Do you think the Venture or if you were riding any full dressed touring bike for that matter had an impact (no pun intended) on your survival or at least lessened somewhat the extent of your injuries? Heal fast! Paul
  6. AYE!
  7. It's not the free play in the floating rear brake disc is it?
  8. I won't say the Vision is ugly or beautiful, but I will say it's unique!
  9. Huh?
  10. Regardless of Daddy's intentions or the quality of his character, you don't send a 5 or 6 year old (boy or girl) to fetch a hot cup of coffee! If the young lady wanted to but Daddy a coffee he could have held her hand and walked in with her. I'm sure Daddy could have sprung for a juice at the same time, maybe even breakfast for her. I don't care how you look at it or how you want to try and justify his actions, they fall well below what a responsible parent's action should have been. my Paul
  11. Ouch is right! That hurts just thinking about it. Heal soon.

  18. Should I disconnect the battery from the bike before putting it on a trickle charger. I thought I read somewhere that not disconnecting it can fry the electronics. Did a search but can't find anything. Thanks, Paul
  19. Where dat who?
  20. It is amazing how you learn the tell tale signs of what another driver is about to do. They're there, you just have look for them. It's saved my bacon several times!
  21. ......... made you a better driver? After changing jobs last year and having my commute time doubled and having to cross the city each day I feel I'm more aware of traffic around me and try my best to be as courteous a driver as I can be. Paul
