Nope, I think you are right. I talked to the service department today and the agent handling the claim had already come by. They are saying it has, GET THIS, $5,000 worthof damage. I just can't see that. Oh well:confused24:. I asked if I could pick it up tomorrow?

Nope, I wouldn't ask him to do that. I live in the woods and it coulda been anything. I should have been more careful really seeing the dog stalking as I did. It's all good.

Yep, I was pulling out of my driveway, and noticed my neighbors dog, a catahoula" stalking something in the bushes at the end of the driveway. It was about 0830 and my driveway is grass...still wet with morning dew. I take off and when I do, I stir the rabbit out of the bush, the dog takes off after it, both right in front of me. I hit the brakes, rear wheel locks up, and down it went on the left side. lower cowling destroyed, crash bar bent way back, linkage set back a bit but still works. Upper faring scratched. Called state farm and dropped the bike off at coast cycle world and waitng on word. My feelings are hurt but nothing else....this sucks! I will be happy if I get her back by Christmas. Man, all this talk of winterizing, salt, winter fuel mixture, blah, blah, blah. I feel soo bad for you guy's up there. I ride year'round. I prefer the colder weather here in the south. Gives me a chance to ride with all that safety gear. I will ride in 30 deg.f and enjoy it.

I was checking in at a hotel, clerk asked if I was a member of aarp or something. That was about 5 years ago at age 45. I went strait up to my room and looked in the mirror and said out loud....REALLY!

I bought mine in November,08' and joined this site right after, as I fell in love with my Venture. So 5 years and counting...not looking for a replacement either.

I'm one of the guilty ones . I try to log on the site once a day just to keep up, sometimes more, but I don't always post. I'll try to do better. I would hate to lose this site or see it change.

I've been using pledge on everything since...well so long I can't remember. Works as good as anything. Wash and wax once a year and pledge in between.

I will be off work the 3rd week of October. If the timing is right, I may be able to do one of these things.

$50 progressive air pump with zero loss chuck does the trick for me. Bought at local HD shop.
