As BratmanX has stated. Any time you put and LED behind a colored lens you want to color match the LEDs to the lens. The easiest way to explain it...the Lens filters out certain wavelenghts/colors of light and with LEDs you will loose intensity. The Custom Dynamics HD L.E.D. Brake light # is what you need. You will not be disappointed...Ron

Don: I was going to send this as a private message but could not do it. I figure a picture is worth a 1000 words and here it is. Delete this message after seeing what I am talking about. This is what it looks like when I try to edit, makes it hard to edit my gallery. Thanks again.......Ron

HAPPY 238th BIRTHDAY my fellow MARINES and I hope your Veteran's day is a day of reflection and joy in the fact you did a GREAT job in serving a grateful nation as well as reflecting on our fallen brothers. SEMPER FI. To all of the VETERANS who served I thank you for your service......Ron

Same as Flyinfool. It was the best move I made and will not go back to standard bulbs. Well worth the money(if nothing more then a safety reason) At night when I look in the mirrors and start to slow down I can see the road in red behind me. The turn signals are crisp and clean and our seen even in bright sun light.......

As you sit on the bike, I need the right side front crash bar for a 2002 VENTURE 2nd Gen. Would like it in good to great shape. (not been in a wreck) If any of you have one that you would like to sell I am in the market. Tried the classifieds, but figure more people read this section and thought I would try it here.......Ron:cool10:

Walmart Platinum Burner LEDs
kantornado replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have had these lights on mine for 10 years. I really like them you can see them in my pic gallery. I made the brackets and they look great and work extremely well....Ron -
Thank you Brad. I am happy it was not worse and grateful to GOD that it was not a whole lot worse. It was just bad luck I guess? But on a brighter note I added some more chrome today. I have been looking for something to fill in the unsightly spot under my trunk. I needed something 7 inches long and a minimum of an inch and a half wide. I have been looking for years and trying all types of metal, black plastics but it never looked good. Then I thought if I am going to add a piece there, it would be cool to put a turn signal in the spot but all of them looked crappie too. They were made for trucks or was too small. But I still kept looking and then I came across a set of chrome door handle inserts for a ford pickup for $4 on clearance and said to myself this may work. So here is what it looks like now. I used a 4 inch L.E.D. amber strip light as a turn signal.

Thanx all sadly I did not get his license plate number by the time I got up he was gone. But i figure he only went a few miles with a hole in a hose. Probably lost a engine ( one can hope) I am one sore puppy now, I am not 25 and 220 any more. I am part of the old fat man club as a young women told me...... You just gotta laugh:rotf:

Today was my lucky day, I went for a ride temp in the high 70’s and a few clouds went about 80 miles round trip. I was about a mile from the house traveling at about 40 mph coming up to a stop light and a guy come flying around me in a Mitsubishi and hit his brakes so I had to hit my front brake (that’s normal). This is where I was lucky, the bike started to slide to the left I thought what the HELL, so I let off the front brake and hit the rear, she started to slide right then back left again I thought OH CRAP and why is this guy not moving the light was green (looked in his rear window and he’s on his friggen cell phone) bike is still up but sliding (why aren’t the tires grabbing) looked at the ground and it’s wet but with what?? I figure if I don’t power out I’m going down, I hit the throttle and the back end whips to the left and I really don’t want to hit this guy so I ease on the rear and front brake as I hold steady throttle, It worked. I managed to get her almost stopped before she went down on the right side, Right foot rolled under the bike and I thought crap here go’s my ankle but it just twisted and as I came off the bike my left shin hit the tank pretty hard and left foot twisted as I rolled on to the asphalt. Crash bars did their job and no real damage to the bike (nothing I can’t fix with some epoxy) scraped the saddle bag crash bar on the bottom and bent the engine crash bar (bent it back). Scraped the bottom of the cowling. So I will probably feel it tomorrow morning. Right now my legs and feet are sore and it’s a little hard to walk. The pavement was wet with antifreeze he sprayed a swath about 8 feet wide all over the road. It was slick as ice. Glad I practiced my riding skills on ice in Colorado and Minnesota. It kind of came in handy today. But I still had a great ride on a beautiful day and now the bike is fixed and ready to ride. Will take her for a little spin the weather is supposed to turn crappy the next few days. LIFE IS GOOD!!! So be careful out there……..:cool10:

Great looking boat Don, You will have fun with this for sure. The BIG DILEMMA is when to ride the bike or take the boat.

I practice all I can and the hardest thing for me is powering out of the tight circle going from a right to a left turn for the next circle or vice verse . I can do it on a HD pretty good (most times) It is difficult on the Venture because it's so top heavy. But on the other hand I don't want to drop this little piglet. I have friends in the NSP and there riding skills are top notch. They can scratch and brake crash bars/floorboards even lay um over and it's all part of training on the bike's they ride. But for the rest of us we have to pay for a BOO BOO.....

Lost my nuts about the first time I had to take the seat off when out on the road to add air to the shock. I figured if the seat came off while riding I REALLY HAVE A PROBLEM. Been about 10 years and so far no problems. I have had people who are shocked I don't have the seat bolted down, but like I said if the seat comes off I have a REAL PROBLEM.

What you really need to get the party started is 1/2 pint of Everclear, 4 packets of strawberry or grape cool-aid and 2 fine wine bottles out of the trash (with cap or cork) of one of the better restaurants. Split the bottle of Everclear into the 2 wine bottles add 2 packets of strawberry cool-aid to each bottle then shake to mix and add water to near top. Put cork or cap on each bottle. Worked great when I was 15 to 17 all the girls thought it was great wine and expensive too! 190 proof alcohol go's down smooth.....enjoy:cool10::cool10:

Welcome!! You will get allot of valuable information in the 1st Gen forum section and doing a search in the "search" drop down. Just type what your looking for and a list will show up. If your equipment on the bike is factory it's water proof, but I make no claims that it would be 100%. Oh and we need to see pic's of your new ride. This is a must because as you will here.( it's a useless thread with out pic's) Congrats and enjoy your new 1st Gen it is a GREAT BIKE......Ron:cool10:

I have had mine on sense 2003 and they are just as shinny now as they were then. I like how they look and when I see a bike with out them, there bike looks naked....

Most flags I have bought in previous years have lasted 6 months depending on how much the weather participates. When I lived in Minnesota, They would last a couple years. Out here in the desert the sun does them a number. Now I do not know about these SSP flags I just bought because It is a new company to me that I just found but they are definitely made better and the colors are more profound. The flag holders are mounted on my trunk mount luggage rack. The holders I bought from the company in Denver that went out of business(you can see them in my gallery) I found some made like the type flag holders I have here at Leather Headquarters ranging in price from 30.00 (china made) to 79.00 (made in USA) in different heights. The outside flag heights are 6 inches tall and middle American flag is 9 inches tall. That is the mast size the flags fit into. Hope I answered your questions..............

I wanted to let everyone here know about this company. I ordered replacement flags (MARINE,P.O.W / Black & red, USA) and they arrived and are some of the best I have ordered from any company. They look beautiful and our well made. The company also sells flags of different sizes and styles. The company I had been getting flags from in Denver went out of business and I finally found one that has licensed flags with great color and well made. http://store.sspflags.com/categories/-REPLACEMENT-FLAGS/6in.-x-9in.-Small-Flags/

My trailer bounces real easy unloaded. But when I get her loaded and the cooler full she doesn't bounce at all. I can tell you at 105 mph she will get a little lift and it will make your butt cheeks pucker. Lesson learned when passing another vehicle. Great trailer you have, so enjoy.....

Because of family history I get them pretty regularly. The first one I had the guys I worked with had me so freaked out I was going to cancel but the wife won out. WAS SO GLAD I WENT. Would of been dead in 6 months to a year. I went every year for 4 years and now I'm at every 5 years. My brother in-law got another 9 years of life after they found he had colon cancer. So drink the stuff ( I suck on a Jolly Rancher) while drinking the solution. Nothing to it just get a ride 2 and from your appointment. I hope your clean & clear and congratulations on being part of the manly men regiment. It's part of life and is better then looking up at the grass...........
