5 year warranty & transfer?
kantornado replied to jryan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I hate to say it but those dealers (stealer's) are lying to you. It is a 5 year warranty period. Whether you sold it or not or how many people owned it. As long as warranty work was done and up keep. I researched before I bought mine (used) and I even tried to get an extended warranty but at that time it was not offered. My dealer is a honest shop and even did warranty work after mine was 4 months out of warranty. The shop just called YAMAHA and got unapproval on it before they started. Yamaha approved and the shop repaired it (no Charge). I hate to think how these STEALERS are raking it in. You pay for work or 25.00 and there still billing YAMAHA for warranty work. What a racket they have and I figure if there cheating the customer by that means are they really doing the work on the bike when I bring it in. I.E. oil change, carb adjust, valve adjust at the assigned intervals...................................................Ron -
I mounted mine to the handle bar with a bracket I made. Which you can see in my VRPICS. I am going to make a new one that will be at a different angle and encompass wire clamps. It was my first attempt at making one. So I learn from my mistakes. I glance at mine like I would the gauges on the bike can either have the voice on or off When off it pings pretty loud and different pings mean different things and took some getting used too. I want to incorporate the GPS into the stereo on the bike that way I can listen to her sultry voice. I would not ever try and make adjustment while riding (that's just stupid) no matter how good of a rider I think I am. You will find the GPS to be the best tool you can own when traveling/ Restaurants, gas, hospitals, hotels or points of interest can all be found at the touch of a button in a town you have never been to and can get there like you have lived there all your life. You will find it to be the best investment you made. Good luck in choosing the one for you.........................Ron

So much better then a map you will wonder how people ever got around with out a GPS. If your trying to get somewhere and miss a turn the GPS automatically redirects you. No stopping or guessing it is a wonderful tool. As an example THE NAVIGATOR got mad at me because I would not listen to her directions and only listened to the GPS after she made a couple of miscalculations. Don't tell her I posted this:rotf: If you decide while your out to stop and have a bite to eat or go to a ATM or post office just go to POI and type what you want and with in 5 miles every one of the POI's will come up just punch in and wallah your on your way turn by turn. OH well as you can tell I LOVE mine.................Ron

O.K. Dan I see what you mean about the front 1156 bulb I will order that one in CLEAR so I can use the AMBER LENSE http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/1156-PCB-W36.jpg1156-PCB-W36 White LED lamp 12VDC 1156 Base with 1-1/2 inch square circuit board With 36 Super White LEDs Designed for overhead lighting in boats, campers, box trucks, etc. With Wide 100 Degree Beam Pattern, 57 lumens $ 16.95 Then I use the 1157 CLEAR for the RED LENSE. http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/1157-x24.jpg1157-x24 LED bulb 24-LED 12VDC bulb 15mm Dual Intensity Bayonet Base Unique Design has 18 LEDs aiming out the end and 6 radially mounted LEDs aiming 90 degrees from the base Available with Narrow or Wide Angle LEDs in White, Red, and Amber $ 7.49 Is this correct ?? Here you go Dan: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=CAR Just scroll down the page. There marked 1156/1157 replacement bulbs and they look like my original bulbs. but looks might be deceiving. With running my 4 - 55 watt driving lights and pulling the trailer I want to cut down on the amount of amps I need to power everything and the LED's will be brighter and do that................Ron

I want to replace my Turn/Tail/brake lights with LED lights and keep the Red/Amber covers. I ran across these and was wondering if any of you use them. 1157-x12 LED bulb 12-LED 12VDC replacement bulb 15mm Dual Intensity Bayonet Base Available with 12 Narrow or Wide Angle LEDs in White Also if the 1157-x12 LED bulb is what I need or the 1157-x24 LED bulb. Do I get the Narrow or Wide Angle?? I know I also need the 1156-x12 LED bulb or 24. Thanks for the insight and I am sure I'm not alone in wondering about this so it will help us all.................................................Ron P.S. Probably should of put this in the 2nd Gen Tech section. Move it please

In my opinion and having been ripped off and I have ABSOLUTLY NO USE for people who steal from those of us who are generous or trusting. I say post who they are. I have posted there name and address but that's me. I do not believe in cutting a thief any slack. Because there is always a alternative to stealing and all a person needs to do is ask. especially from members of a organization your in or people you work with. I know of to many people and organizations that will help out. Its just me and my worth........................Ron

Thanks Eagleeye, and I gotta say your scoots look pretty good to me. I was hoping some of you guys here could give me some ideas or know of some after market places I have not herd of. Of new CHROME parts for the VENTURE. So far I have CHROME mirrors and CHROME clutch/brake lever. Found quite a few parts for handle controls for the 1100's/1600/1700 YAMAHAS but the VENTURE gets kinda sparse. Any other you all come up with. Would love some new rims but can not find them............Ron
