  1. 2 more days and its a M & E with our friends from the north. Looking forward to it.........................Ron
  2. Sorry I can't answer your question but that scoot sure looks neat runnin solo. I'm thinking though it would be comfy cause the 1300's are pretty much the same bike just the RSV has more plastic and the seat on mine is good for the long haul. Did not get mine to use as DRIVEWAY JEWLERY or BAR HOPPIN BLING. You can quote me on those:rotf: ....................................Ron
  3. Time is ticking down. Only 5 days to go. WOOOHOOO.............Ron
  4. Well Rick Steiner's is just right down the road from the Outlet Mall and there's Americas antique mall about a block or so from there. You both aut to keep well exercised.:rotf: We are looking forward to seeing you both also. That web sight is noisy isn't it Lone Eagle. They really like that slot noise. We will have a good time. Every-time us VENTURERIDERS get together there's always tall tails and lots of food.....................Ron
  5. Bid away the plastic for the 83-84 will interchange. Post some picks of your bike....................Ron
  6. Rick & Marilyn on Wednesday 02-13-08 at 7:30pm at STEINER'S 8168 Las Vegas Blvd south. It is pretty easy to get too! http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory=&cat=&address=8168+las+vegas+blvd+south&city=las+vegas&state=NV&zipcode= Turn your volume down for there web site. http://steinerspub.com/ Hope some of you can make it. I reserved enough space for a cozy gathering of a 100 or so.:rotf: I just need to get a idea of how many can make it so I can let them know and if you just show up I am sure we can make room.. So no need to be bashful get there or be left out of a GREAT GET TOGETHER...............................................Ron
  7. As pointed out the AURA is more prevalent around SQUIDLY and maybe its permeating ( or starting to ferment )around Lonna.:rotf: So now its a mystery and those at the table may be able to shed some light on it.(FREEBIRD,Lonna)???............................Ron
  8. I down loaded the pictures of the 07 Rally in Colorado and looked at this picture more closely. There is a AURA around SQUIDLY & LONNA now I'm not saying there saintly or anything.Just something magical, mystical......................Ron
  9. I can not answer the question. But my seal started to leak in the winter months about the 16th year I owned my 83. Not much and only left a small puddle about a inch in diameter. When I started the engine up and ran her in the spring through the summer until the next storage time it never leaked. It would leak a little in the winter and I never had a problem with it leaking any other time. I figured if I was stored at 25 below or more I might leak a little too!!!!:rotf::rotf:..........................................Ron
  10. Rick that TOOLDOOD is sure a COOLDOOD he found you some shopping places. The one I think your talking about is the outlet mall on south Las Vegas Blvd. That is where I want to put a Meet & Greet together. Quite a few places to eat and drink there and it will be fairly close to where your staying. I am going down there tomorrow and scout it out and will post a time and place to Meet & Greet Rick & Marilyn and there will be plenty of time for people to make arrangements............................Ron
  11. Heres mine just click photo gallery. Harbor Fraight trailer Sears X20 cargo box. Like the others have said you can tie up a fortune in buiding it yourself. If I would not of had the trailer to start with and owning it for 20 years I think I would of just bought a completed trailer and really wished I had. When I first got the trailer it was 79.00 + tax and the cargo box was a Montgomery Wards used for 10 bucks and the cooler for 3.00 at a garage sale and it worked and still does, but it needs up grading. This new X20 was 140.00 on sale and I need to modifie the trailer with L.E.D's and new fenders as well as lifts for the box to open at a good height and new bumper and new 12volt cooler. Probably will cost me a extra 300.00 all said and done..........Ron
  12. I have these 2 types, Tayler X 248, Curtis yn 63 and they work fine.........................................................Ron
  13. We are looking forward to meeting the western half of the VENTURERIDERS and you are definitely one on the list LoneEagle. Squidly we are sure we will meet up with you and Lonna on one of these outings here. We checked on coming to the 08 VENTURERIDER Rally but know we won't have the vacation time to do it. It is kinda sad cause we wanted to cruise north and go through Canada and this would of been a great opportunity and could hook up with other members heading that way. Sarge we are so looking forward to you and Marilyn coming out. We know your time will be short and you have things you want to do and see so if there is anything we can do before hand to help you out let me know.............................Ron
  14. At our new state of residence Nv,Las Vegas. current temp is 51 F We went through the snow and cold and saw many wrecks and arrived safely. That is the important part. We had a couple of close calls and it never ceases to amaze me that when the temp is at 32 F or below and the roads are snowy and wet why people think they can drive 70mph. I mostly think it natures way of passive aggressive natural selection but the trouble with that is that those idiots seam to take others out with them. We are excited about our new place to live, more riding time and new places to explore with the great people we have met here and the new ones to come. We will mis our friends and riding buddies we had in Mn and hope that if there looking for a little winter vacation they keep us in mind. We have arrived...........................Ron
  15. All we can say is WOW The NAVIGATOR and I say what a nice home you will make it. Your M&E will be a success and with all those tattooed bikers your neighbors may move.:rotf::rotf: ...................Ron
  16. Thought this was cool. A friend sent it and I thought I would share......................Ron http://community-2.webtv.net/harryswallace/THELIMOCYCLE/
  17. Under a emergency the last thing I'm thinking about is flipping the kill switch. Under extrema braking and stopping the bike dies anyway or at least all of the bikes I have had do. I am just trying to keep her up without falling down (that hurts). After coming to UN emergency stop I have always had to restart the bike. Maybe its just me..........................................Ron
  18. Prayers for the both of you and Lonna will have a speedy recovery. You both are always in our prayers....................Ron
  19. I too am way to guilty and the thing about it is every time it happens I think man how dumb is this. I look it over call people like Dan did and feel so dumb afterwords. Like others have said I too do not flip the kill switch so never think of it. Now the first thing I do is check the kill switch if the bike don't start when I hit the button. Good thread brought back memories. BAD but memories:rotf::rotf:........Ron
  20. I have said it before I LOVED my 83 and no other bike I owned before my 83 brought more smiles per mile over the 20 years of ownership. I have traded with other 1st GEN owners 87,88,89 and 93 and must say if I was to buy a 1st GEN it would be a 93 only because it would be 10 years newer and would have low miles, that I would insist on. I thought all were pretty nimble and had plenty of power and the one thing I liked about the 83 that you don't get on the newer models is removable bags. That I really liked at first, but I scratched up my bags and trunk and after I painted the bike left them on a went with the soft luggage. It is nice to read what other owners of both bikes say or there preference. Good thread FROG MAN............................Ron
  21. You did a sweet job on the extra fuel tank. But you better watch it BEER30 might come up and take a sip:rotf: Nice job you done did........................Ron
  22. LOL :rotf: Rick I am sure there is someone WHOOOO--To stay with. But I bet you someone will let you mooch.:rotf: Don't you just feel the LOVE. We will see you both next month. Be safe my friend.......................................Ron
  23. All the afore mentioned plus I really liked BREAD, The GRASSROOTS and then a band ahead of there time and I still listen to the album to this day was SLADE.Just great tunes.........................Ron
  24. Here is mine with the HF trailer and Sears X20 Car-top carrier and I made the stand. Easy job and am in the process of making unextension to make the trailer longer with new LED brake lights and marker lights with a CHROME bumper....................Ron
  25. I arrived safely and have started to get busy at getting the house ready for the movers. THE NAVIGATORS last day is tomorrow then we have the weekend to get stuff ready to get out of here. I'm hoping my friend comes to get the TV,refrigerator and table if not I don't know what I will do?? any takers??? Wished we could get together SQUIDLY, I sure would of liked that. You and Lonna take it easy while your on the mend. I saw the bike and am sure glad you landed on soft grass. Will be heading back to Vegas on 01-16 or 17th and am looking foreword to a nice trip. It's supposed to snow today, tonight and tomorrow, I really am not going to mis this..........................................Ron
