    We went on a ride yesterday also. It started out a little chilly sweater weather then buy about 11am I was in short sleeves. What a BEAUTIFUL day it was. VegasVic I am glad to know another fellow Vegas Vet and a fellow VENTURERIDER. org member. I ride with the MARINE RIDERS here. We will have to get together and have a toast.......Ron

    Thanks all. You are right Brad it did freek me out with the oil reading.LOL I thought something was REALLY, REALLY wrong. Thank you all again. Now I just need to find a gauge pod or get a tach to mount that looks as if it belongs on the bike..................Ron

    O.K. I got the gauge set I bought from Ponch all hooked up now and so far it don't leak. Well after I tightened it down some more. I do have a few questions for those of you that have it. By the way I love the looks. My oil gauge reads almost zero at adle but reads 40psi at 40 mph and 60psi at 60 or higher speeds. the amp gauge reads a little over 12 at idle but will move up to about 14amps at 50 or better mph. Temperature goes up to about 190 or so after about 15 minutes of riding time. Are all of these normal or within range for the VENTURE???...............Ron

    We love this and the great thing about it is you can make it, let it cool cut into squares, place in a ziploc bag then freeze and when you want to take it for lunch or snacks or even dinner later. Just microwave and go.....................Ron Mexican Cornbread Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 2 pks cornbread mix 1 can whole kernel corn 1 can cream-style corn 1/2 pound each cheddar and Monterey jack grated 1 onion chopped 1 can of Ortega chilies 1 each green & red peppers chopped ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon pepper ½ teaspoon Garlic powder or 1 garlic clove chopped Optinal items: You can substitute groundbeef with round Steak, Chicken, Polish sausage or your choice??? How to make this recipe: Brown ground beef and season as desired. Drain meat. Mix cornbread according to directions, then add drained whole-kernel corn, cream-style corn, and half of the cheese. Place half of cornbread mixture in a 9 x 13 pan. Layer with meat, remaining cheese and any optional items desired. Cover with remaining cornbread mixture and bake as directed by cornbread package directions Or a real nice brown color.

    Well I got everything taken care of. The guy who did the work on the bike is unemployed. He did not do what he was supposed to do and what he did do he screwed up. The owner of the shop is really going over the top to make it up to me. I got the gauge set from Ponch all set up and it works but I had a leak and I have Tightened it some more and hope it will not leak. I will be able to check it after it quits raining here. This gauge set looks really cool. Thanks again Ponch.............................Ron

    Yes Ponch I had gotten everything all hooked up and it looks great. The temp line was really hard to do being I could not get the chrome covers off. But I did it and now when this guy gets here to fix the nuts (he just called) I can get it running and see how everything works. I pray for no leaks...............................Ron

    BuddyRich that mechanic is not coming. Denise (the owner) and I had a discussion about why someone would strip a bolt and keep trying to turn it in, let alone 3. I will see how it goes today..........Ron

    I contacted the bike shop and talked to the owner. He is sending a guy to the house tomorrow. He will retap the nuts and replace the bolts and check the bike out once we get it running. I would not bring my bike to powersport under any circumstance. I talked to allot of people before bringing the bike to this shop. The bike shop is a independent and I know during these times he does not want to lose a customer or have bad press. I have no Ill will towards the owner. However the mechanic is something to be desired. I needed a place to vent and you all were my source. Thanks for all the suggestions and the ear for listening……….Ron

    I’m really P.O. And saying W.T.F.over. We put the bike in the shop when we went on the cruise to our sons wedding to have some work done that I did not have the tools to do. Adjust valves and sink the carbs and we figured while it was there we would get some other things done as well. I went to install the gauge set I wanted on the bike from Ponch and found out the guy who did the work striped out the bolts on the gas tank- striped out the bolts on the chrome valve covers and did not put on one of the carb nuts. Now I figure I had better tear the bike down and see if he put grease in the rear-end and drive shaft as he was supposed to do as well as check everything else out. Man I am P.O. Took me 4 hours to get the striped bolts out and now I have to tap the nuts out that our welded on the frame and buy new bolts to fit. MAN I AM P.O.

    We went and seen AVITAR 3D and if you have not seen it GO. It is a real good movie and for 2 hrs and 40 min you are entertained. The 3D glasses fit right over Linda's glasses no problem................................Ron

    Cougar and Bvinson I did not order one from Ken, he was asking 270 plus shipping and thats not a problem. But I do not know him and he will not use paypal. To ship someone I don't know $300.00 without a way to protect myself or him just is not in our best interest. I hope you all keep looking for me as I will keep looking myself. I do want one. I just received the kit from Ponch and it will be a great asset to the bike as well. ..................................Ron

    Cougar I will do that of course (pics that is) I bought the gauge set from Ponch and it should be here today or tomorrow. Then hopefully I can get the gauge pod for the tank and I will be in heaven.LOL Thanks again for his info. I am so excited............Ron

    There is not a thing wrong with the clock in the cluster on the dash. I just want to:mo money: on a chrome clock to go with my tac on the tank LOL. I sent Ken a e-mail about his gauge pod. THANKS guys your great. I LOVE THIS PLACE.................................Ron

    Obber how much do they owe you total? I will see if I can get your money back. It can't hurt to try. She is so close and I have been ripped by a person on another YAMAHA web site and had no one to check on it for me.
