My lovely 02 VENTURE has a problem (1st one ever, besides me). She runs great down the road then she just acts like she runs out of gas, pull over starts right up then does it again then hard start then repeats and would not start. Had it towed home and she starts up now. Any ideas??? Thank you in advance for your help...........................Ron

I bought this one and really love it is hardwired to the bike and works great. Got it from Tigerdirect. I can take it off the bike and use it in the wifes car or mine. A 8gb SD card is fantastic for my mp3s and the sound coming through the stereo is outstanding......Ron http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6361982&Sku=G145-0240 RB

Several years ago my wife and I were traveling north on hiway 287 in the car (thank goodness) when a pickup going south lost a 2 drawer file cabinet and it hit the hood and windshield and took out the drivers side rearview mirror. We had glass everywhere in the car and we were very lucky. Of course the truck was never found..........Ron

A little advice for the new guy... please! :)
kantornado replied to Stitch65's topic in Watering Hole
You live in Colorado and we have several members there who ride and as ToolDood said look them up in the directory and see if they can help you out. You might find a new friend. I owned a 83 VENTURE Standard for 20 years and you cannot find no better bike (except a 2nd Gen) lol. I would not have a problem with jumping on a 1986 Royal and heading anywhere in the country. The bike is a touring machine that thinks it’s a sport bike or a crotch rocket. If it looks good and runs good buy it and enjoy...................Ron -
I have seen it, but it was worth watching again. Don't know if it’s been posted here though. Thanks for sharing. It does tug at the heart strings..........Ron

Thought I answered your question. Yes I use the Super-Tech rear end oil in my 02 Midnight Venture and have no problems with it. I have 83,000 miles on her now and plan on going a hundred more. I also use the 20-50 oil and Super-Tech oil Filter and change my oil regular at around 3 to 4,000 miles. I use the anti freeze and Hi pod grease also. If you don't trust it for any reason use some other product. I like Pennzoil and Quaker State products myself and trust there quality no matter who's name is on the bottle........Ron
-
It is manufactured by Sopus Products a Division of Shell oil Company witch includes Pennzoil and Quaker State. Just under the Wal-Mart Super-Tech name. As with all Wal-Mart oils and lubricants. Hope this helps……Ron PS. I use the stuff and have never had a problem with the oils. My last bike went a 187,000 useing Super-Tech oils. The guy who bought the bike is still riding it.

We took a small ride to Rachel, NV on the "Extraterrestrial Highway", with a group of friends and stopped at the Little-A’Le’Inn gift shop and general tourist trap..... That is near the famous Area 51 it was about a 340 mile round trip. The weather there in Rachel was great! We left Vegas early this morning, but man!! Coming back around 15:00 hrs.....we arrived to the start of HELL......106 DEGREES!! Put the bike in the garage and went inside the house A/C .....jumped in the shower and .....ahhhh felt good again enjoying a few ICE COLD glasses of Lemonade.......LIFE IS GOOD. Tomorrow poker run starts at 1000 hrs and will be home by about 1800 hrs. Supposed to hit 110 but we will see. +/- a couple degrees it still feels the same (like sticking tour head in a oven) Great thing is NO HUMI-DID-ITY so not to bad REALLY..............Ron:dancefool:

Hope to see you when you get here if you can give a call. I am on the list and hope to see you if you can. Now Are you ABSOLUTLY SURE you want to come here in July?? Be aware it will be tripple digits and bring lots of water. Travel at night if at all possible and if you cannot (travel at night) Early morning is best Till noon. Remember LOTS OF WATER and Gatorade (to replenish electrolytes) I know it’s a dry heat (Like sticking your head in a oven) OH we have a helmet law all motorcycles over 50cc (its nuts) Anything under and no helmet. Hope to see you here................Ron
