It looks like I will not be going to bike week. I am in the process of buying my first home and I am using some of my vacation to do it but I am still planning on doing the Blue Ridge Parkway in early Sept. I so wanted to go camping at the Cabbage Patch but other things in life take precedence. Maybe next year. Tom:bang head:

I have the opportunity to buy this 93 virago for 750$ delivered, it needs some work but he guarantees me that it runs perfect I have had one before and they are fun to ride and I would use it as my daily commuter instead of my VR do you think I am crazy ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___1993-YAMAHA-VIRAGO-XV750_W0QQitemZ140294658849QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item140294658849&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

I will be camping at the Cabbage Patch on Feb 27th to March 3rd for the beginning of bike week if anyone would like to meet up or have a brewski let me know I will give my cell #. Camping out there is fun, at night I like to get a nice fire going and most of the other bikers are very friendly.

I had the dreaded wobble in the front end of my 84 VR and after talking with Skydoc and Lonestarmedic they instructed me on how to change the steering head washer without taking the fairing off and it worked like a charm.I just took it for a ride and it is nice and stiff with no wobble. It only took about an 1 1/2 hours to take it apart adjust the bearings and put the furber fix washer in and put it back together. Thanks again guys Venture Riders are the best. TOM

Ok I am relativley new to the Venture Royale I sold my XS1100 for it but I to have a wobble in the front end is the washer in the tripple tree or the front wheel ? The bike stops the wobble in higher speeds but is annoying at slow speeds. I have a 1984 Royale.

I put a trailer hitch on my bike and I am getting a trailer so I do not have to pack so top heavy and I am going back to the Blue Ridge Parkway again Labor Day week I hope to get some riders to go with me. This time I am going to start at the bottom end and work north since now I know where I want to go and I won't have time constraints. TOM

I did Skyline drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway from mile 0 to the end Labor Day week this year and I have pics posted here I camped the whole trip and did not stay in any lodges. It was aw some riding and with stopping all over I could average around 200 miles a day I highly recommend the ride especially Skyline Drive it blows Blue Ridge Parkway away. I also have a website where you can order free maps and brochures of the drive from one end to the other. TOM

I always rode friends bikes then I bought a Yamaha RD 400 in showroom condition for 500$ That was fast as hell for a 400 I was in the Marine Corp stationed in Not Carolina and had fun riding the back rodes with it and I still miss it I traded it for a brand new 1985 Honda Sabre 1100, big jump. TOM

I did it alone, wish I had some other riders,it was a great time all the kids were going back to school so I had most of the campgrounds all to myself, no other campers it was great.
