I am going tomorrow to go look at this bike and from what he tells me I think it will be in my garage. I just need to find a trailer hitch for it. http://treasure.craigslist.org/mcy/2195401066.html

A little set back today, I went for a ride around lake Okeechobee today and kept smelling gas and watched the gas gauge go down so I came back home and found 1 of the carbs needle valve stuck open so I used my compressor and blew it out and took it for a ride and it seems to work. When the carbs do work it is a bat outta hell I can't wait to go to bike week in Daytona.

I wish I had friends, the only people who talk to me are bill collectors...

My bike felt sluggish so when it was cold I started it and sure as heck the front right cylinder was cold so I took out the plug, which is almost new and I use only iridium plugs, and checked for spark and had it. I am wondering if there is an easy way to clean out that one carb and not pull the whole Assembly, I always use seafoam and marvel mystery oil so I do not understand why the carb is plugged. Tom

There are several campgrounds in Ocala here is the link and if you click on a campground it will tell you what the have and then click on the photo's multimedia section on the right hand side and it will show pics of it. The campground I went to had showers and running water at certain places in the park it also had a little store that sold snacks and soda and they sold ice and firewood but when I woke the first morning and forgot to pack the eggs I had to drive 7 miles to the nearest country store. http://www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsinternet/!ut/p/c4/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os3gDfxMDT8MwRydLA1cj72BTSw8jAwjQL8h2VAQAng7kaQ!!/?ss=110816&navtype=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&cid=FSE_003705&navid=110130000000000&pnavid=110000000000000&position=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&recid=32295&actid=29&ttype=activity&pname=Ocala%2520National%2520Forest%2520-%2520Campground%2520Camping

I did not go on the M/C even after rushing to get the parts for it, the weather was to nasty so I took the truck with my 4 legged kids to Alexander Springs ( Ocala National Forest) I bought an old Sears canvas tent from an estate sale years ago for 10$ and never set it up till this week, all the parts were there but took a while to figure out, it was waterproof with all the rain we had. This was my first trip there and it was nice, the water was crystal clear but cold, I will go back again.

Ok I had a Venture member send me a used turn signal 3day express and I just got it in and needed it to epoxy the crack in the fairing and I put duct tape on the hole in the windshield so I can't leave tomorrow for the Smoky Mnts but I am gonna go Sat morning just cut my vaca 1 day short... THANK YOU SO MUCH VENTURE RIDERS.
-
Is an 86-on turn signal the same?
-
So much for the trip to the Smoky Mnts I drove all day with the trailer to get used to it the went home unhooked the trailer and put the bike in the garage but apparently I did not have the kick stand all the way down and the bike fell on my table saw breaking the turn signal lens and windshield so if I can't get either before Fri my vaca is off....damn.
-
OK I am ready to hit the road on the Th to head to the Smoky Mnts, I finished everything on the bike to handle the trailer and I am hoping to meet some venture riders up there. I plan on stopping in Georgia Fri night then set up camp at Deep Creek campground in NC so I am in the middle between the BRP and the Gap if anyone is up there and want to meet up pm me I am so looking forward to the trip. I had a pm a couple of days ago of a new member that lived close bye but I work rotating 12hr shifts so it was hard to get back to him so today I had off and was installing new front springs thanks to Skydoc and he came over to shoot the breeze. The new springs work great and I fab'd up a bracket for the aftermarket rectifier that bolts to the frame and exhaust but keeps it away from the drive and heat from the exhaust, this way I was able to keep the OEM rectifier in place with all the plugs just in case my new one craped out all I would have to do is take the side cover off and switch plugs and off I go.When I get back from my vaca I will have it powder coated along with other stuff on the bike, Oh back to the new member he is a great guy and needs tips on how to go riding without the wife...lol

I am all for it, there is no reason to have open pipes on a bike unless you are a track racer. I have been riding bikes since I was about 9 y/o and you can optimize the engine on the bike without open pipes and when I sit in my house and hear the Harley's go bye and rattle my windows it irks me. When I was younger and modified my 1979 f-150 with a built 302 with headers and cherry bombs I got a 250$ ticket because it is against federal law to tamper with a vehicle exhaust unless it meets OEM standards.

I have a Reese Backpacker trailer and the original prop for the top was missing when I bought it I am trying to find some sort of prop for the top. I can only put it on the front so it has to be sturdy I thought about the gas filled ones like on my truck top but it is not strong enough for just one, anyone have an idea I have called all the trailer stores around me and no one has anything. I will make a prop out of wood but I would rather have something built in. Tom
