MidlifeVenture replied to Dale124's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=525 Drawing shows how to add it. It is so the full load of the lights is not drawn through the fragile ignition switch. I have a set sitting on the floor that I am getting ready to install. So post any thing you find May help more than one of us less proficient VR newbees. -

http://hagonshocksusa.com/HagApps8.htm What's the difference between the adjustable and remote adjustable other than the obvious cost? -
http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86143 Seems like 2 or 3 choices if you go to the top of the page hit search enter on the bottom box RearShock and click search on VR button you will have hours of reading. Keep checking mine but so far she is holding. knock on wood.

Bought a pump
MidlifeVenture replied to MidlifeVenture's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've put it off so I just bit the bullet and stopped at HD dealer and bought it because I knew they stocked it. It was 54 and change with tax but I rode for the first time since returning from vacation in Ireland and something did not feel right hopefully this helps. -
Picked up a suspension pump today and found I had 7 lbs in one and 0 lbs in the other front shock. I balanced them @7 I will monitor to make sure it holds. I wonder how big of a difference this is going to make. May have to brave the heat and ride to work tomorrow.

MidlifeVenture replied to bill4you502's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Bought a cheap pipe stretcher at Harbor Freight to make it easier so I did not have to put extra force on the pipes that seem to have a tendency to spring leaks. -
When you take a break maybe you could explain where this connector is might be worth checking and cleaning if it is not to hard To get to. Safe travels and enjoy

-
Harley Road King mufflers (stock) are easy to find and sound good not too loud can be mounted fairly easly

A little silicone RTV also works well near plastic
