    I have had this on the bike for about 3 years now. It worked fine until last year. When I have the turn signal going and hit the brake the light stops blinking but when I release the brake it starts right back up. I hooked the trailer to the car and it works fine. I have checked all the wiring connections and they all look good. We want to get everything working before we take our 10 day trip :biker:in October so am I over looking anything? If not I will just have to buy a new modulite. Thanks

    OK, I would take some if possible, Patsy, Loretta, Conway, George Jones, Jim Reeves, Charlie Pride, Charlie Rich, The Carter Family, Johnny Cash, Ray Price, Dolly, Ricky Scaggs just to name a few.:dancefool:I love the older stuff. The new country is not country to me.

    Yeah it is pretty but a Midnight is Beautiful. Not to mention, this is a picture of my two greatest things, My wife of 38 years and our midnight of 5 years.

    OK, I am in the same boat. My battery is almost 5 years old and the bike starts just like it did when it was new. Now you guys are talking about bad charging systems and such. My first question is --What is a battery bug? and where do I get one?--do I really need one? I never put my bike on a battery tender since I ride almost every day. I have only had to charge my battery one time since I bought it in December 2005 and that was because I had some health issues and I did not start my bike for a couple of months. With all this said--do I need to replace my battery before I take off for Maintenance Day?

    Well I had the "I" basket installed and at the same time I switched to Amsoil 20-50. Don't know if it was the basket, the oil or both but the whine is totally gone and I have tried to find it at all RPM levels and speeds. I just hope I never find it again.

    The all CHROME horn came in today and is installed on the bike. Love that chrome.

    Nothing wrong with the one on the bike now except that it is UGLY!!! Have to have the chrome one. I am going to put the old one on my truck.

    HEY--JUST FOUND THE WOLO CHROME HORN ON AMAZON.COM FOR $37.26. The order is going in soon.

    I looked on the HF website and can not find a chrome horn. They have the black one for $45.00

    We have the Tour Master Sentinel rain suits and love them. We had Frogg Toggs and did not like the fit. The jacket just flopped around and the pants were a pain to put on.

    Wolo or Stebel Air Horn--which one comes ALL CHROME?? I currently have the Stebel and love it but after attending the North Georgia MD and saw one that was all chrome I have to have one. Who has the best price?

    Well I did not get a call but I did get a UPS tracking number with a delivery date of April 28. Glory Be--I may get my shield this year after all.:dancefool:

    I got a call from Mike at ClearView today. He apologized several times for the miscommunication. His excuse was personnel quit, bad products, etc--he promised that my shield was in the mold as we spoke and would be shipped today if it passed inspection. He promised that he would call me back today and let me know about my shield. WELL I am sure his office is closed and he did not call. Was my shield shipped? I guess I won't know until Monday when I call them back.

    OK, on April 10 Clearview sent me an email and said that my shield would go out mid-next week, that would mean by the 14th. Today is the 22nd and still no shield. I am going to call them in the morning, since they take forever to answer email, and ask for a refund. It is a shame that a company has such poor customer service. I went to their website tonight and it states that they are 2-3 weeks behind DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!! If that was true, I would have gotten mine 5 weeks ago. Unless they tell me that my shield is in the mail --Yeah right--I will post their great service on every forum that I can find.

    How do I have it load tested and what am I looking for when I have it done?

    :bang head:This all brings us back to the original question:bang head:--Should I get a new battery now or wait? I bought the bike in December 2005, it starts like it did when I first got it BUT it is 5 years old.
