    Hello All, It has been a while since I last posted although I have been hanging in the shadows. I am sending this out asking prayer for myself. Most of you don't know me but I have done alot of postings and have been to serveral maintenance Days. The last one I attended was in 2010. Since that time I have had some medical challenges with my back and legs. I had surgery last year and had a morphine pump inplanted in my side. Constant morphine is really not a fun thing to have. Lately I have been told that I have multiple mononeuropathy in both legs involving the sciatica nerve. Nedless to say, riding my MRSV is almost out of the question. It sits in the garage and I almost come to tears everytime I walk by it. Also due to finances, I will not be able to renew my membership on this site but I will feel your prayers. I know that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I ask for prayer that the pain in my legs be removed and my strength returns allowing me to walk without assistance and that I will one day get back on my ride. Thanks for letting me ramble on!     If you got bored on the Trace then you would really hate the Blue Ridge Parkway. Both of these are the type of rides that my wife and I really look forward to. We have riden both of these several times end to end since 1971. Little to no traffic and a road with a view. We have actually gotten bored on the Dragon.

    Thanks all. It was the update. It was corrupt. I reloaded the update and everything work as it was supposed to.

    :confused24:I recently update the map on my Zumo 550 and now it will not display streets. I zoom in and all I get is a blank screen. It does display major roads. It was working fine before the update. What did I do? What do I need to do to fix this?

    Don and All; I have been to the last 4 Maintenance Days and hate to say that I have to sit this one out. As most of you know I have a bad back and I have learned to live with it. The problem now is that the disc in my lower back have pinched my siatic nerve and the pain down both of my legs is almost unbearable. I am having a nerve block on both nerves next week. The doctors thinks that will help with the pain and I hope he is right. If it wasn't for the ice packs and my morphine I really don't think I would make it. While you are all having fun and eating good, just put in a good word with the Man upstairs for me. See you all next year (I hope).

    Rural King in Clarksville, TN had cases of Sea Foam in the store tonight. Pick up some for $6.49 a can.

They just traded for this one, give them a call and mention my name (David Dotson) and tell them you want my discount. They give me 20 % off everything I buy.

    I hope not. When we reserved the cabin I told the lady we would be on bike. The pictures of the cabin show a level parking area right by the door. Can you send me the name of the cabin that you had. If it is the same I will call and change. With my back, I sure don't want to worry about parking with a trailer. Thanks:thumbsup2:

    area on October 8-12. We have a cabin rented and plan to spend some time shopping and riding the mountains of North Carolina. We plan to do the Wahoo Zipline on Friday and we will be riding the Cherohala Skyway on Saturday. Anyone in the area at the time, just let me know and we can link up.

    I have changed the decal on my bike twice, due to expiration and I have not had a problem getting them off. I use a new razor blade scrapper and some WD 40. They come right off with not damage to the chrome.

    :sign yeah that:Fort Campbell requires that the decal be on the bike. Left lower fork is perfect.

    Not sure if this is the right place but a coworker found a '97 Royal Star and fell in love with it except for one thing--He says there is a loud whine between gears when he is down shifting. I have never heard of this and thought I would throw it out to you guys. He said there is no whine when cruising or when up shifiting only between gears when downshifing.. Should he be concerned?

    Well everybody is guess what is in store for the RSV. The local Yamaha dealer and I had a long talk the other day when I picked up my bike. His outlook on the RSV is that Yamaha will discontinue it all together. Maybe he really beieved that or he was trying to talk me into trading mine in on a new Victory. (This dealership sell Victory and Yamaha).
