  1. If you want to replace line, I most likely have a used stock one lying around. Cheap. It could be caliper is leaking also. I probably have used ones of those lying around. Your best option is to delink front bakes. Trust me on this, it doesn't stop good with two rotors. Even with all three rotors and standard brake set up, it sucks. You are roughly 65 miles from me, ride on down and I will get you some parts. Gary
  2. Bob & Becky left Mansfield Ohio about 5:00pm, after an early dinner at Cracker Barrel with me. Great weather for them today. They are going to ride a few more hours and stop somewhere north of Cincinnati for the night. Gary
  3. Depends on how long the bike has been run like this. It can also take out the gear pair that is disengaging and one of the shift forks. Gary
  4. If it is an 89 it will fit right in, you said 98 at one point which is Royal Star era. Depends on what is wrong with motor also. I got a used 1300 motor last year and it had a bad bearing that parts of it went through the middle gear and chewed it up. Gary
  5. The TCI you have listed will also work on an 83 with a vacuum line change. Lot of people looking for an 83 unit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Venture-Royale-or-Standard-NOS-41R-TCI-/190839893765?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c6ef1af05 Gary
  6. What operating system are you using? Windows XP, 7, other? Call me tomorrow night, I will work through it with you. Gary
  7. If you have gotten one to work, try the 'Sell Similar' option. Maybe it will let you edit an ad, just revise existing one, load new pictures. Gary
  8. But with her on bike, trunk would be difficult to open to store or retrieve. Gary
  9. This what you meant? Gary
  10. Let me think about this. Don't think that right side would be best side though. Bike is naturally higher on that side. But, Tricia's (& Mike's) bike has dual side stands, right and left side. Couple of ideas below though, portable, easy to store, conceptual kind of stuff though. Gary
  11. Say what?? I am all for thinking outside the box, practically live there. But McGyvering a rotor is potentially life threatening. Gary
  12. 1st link is a little drastic, these collectors are a tough fit up and splitting it in 2 pieces may pose a challenge to re-weld together accurately. 2nd link is more conventional fix. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72717&highlight=exhaust+collector http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1002 Gary
  13. Couple of pictures of rear power connector on RSV. Gary
  14. Upper left corner of software screen, click on COM, in this menu click on com auto, bottom choice. That will let software scan to find a port it is happy with. Key must be in run position, without motor running. Gary
  15. Is there room to put a longer bolt in and use a nut behind it if the threads get pulled? Gary
  16. It is slowly getting together. Doesn't look like much in pictures, but it will be awesome when complete. Waiting on some custom work for tank and fenders to arrive from California. It won't be done for Freebird's MD like I had hoped. Have it into a rolling frame at least at this point. Side covers are a spare set that are on it to protect motor while I am working on it. Exhausts are next hurdle. Front headers are going to be custom bent in order to fit in frame. Gary
  17. One for Mother's day, one for anniversary. Gary
  18. You're not the only one. But this is good news overall, two occasions, one gift. Anniversary & Mothers day. http://i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af193/gdingy101/smiley018_zpsc6289e15.gif Gary

  21. I just added a Blackberry 8330 Sprint phone to auctions for Snag & daughter. Gary
  22. 1st picture in 1st post in this thread. You probably won't notice the oil sheen on a stock aluminum color block. It was rather obvious though on the flat black block on Tweety. Gary
  23. Put filter on end of hose he put on. Putting filter in twinkie area puts an oil sheen on motor in that area. Gary
