  1. Oooohhh Yeah!!! Night firing on hard target in AKAK mode with tracers and night vision! Mine was on a Bradley. :happy65:
  2. Wonder if I could sneak that in the garage without my wife noticing ...........
  3. So, your leak is at the joint between the elbow and the downpipe and you're wanting to fix it by cutting below the elbow and putting a loop in:confused07::confused07: How exactly is that going to fix the leaking coupling? If it is leaking where you say it is you will need to remove the coupling - which will make your pipes too short!! So you will have to extend the "jog" you have there with a straight coupling and a new piece of pipe, then choose between 1. add a new coupling and down pipe to match what you have and install a rubber flex coupling with two stainless band clamps; or 2. cut your down pipe close to the ground, install a straight coupling, add a new vertical of the correct length with a new elbow. It'd be a *****, but you should have enough play to pull your new vertical away from the wall to install the coupling on the "jog" 'Course you could always call a plumber :whistling:Sure it'll cost you a hundred quid but sometimes the headache:bang head: ain't worth doing it yourself.
  4. [quote=captainjoe;649027 not lucky and the elbow is not completely fitting over the pipe at least 1 1/4 "... cut elbow off as square as possible take to store and get a longer elbow cause your gonna loose 1 1/2 " of pipe on both ends . If not they can fix you up with the proper fittings to make up for the pipe lost. Actually, I read the results of a study relating to PVC pipe welds which determined that even poor welds (i.e. insufficient depth, angled pipe to joint connections, etc) were still stronger then the actual joint or pipe itself, assuming of course that a cleaner was used in conjunction with the appropriate glue. So yes, a fully seated joint would be great, but then you may be able to get by with a partially seated one, especially since this is the drain (non-pressure) side. Having said that, if you have silicone there, someone either screwed up with the original install or it may have been "fixed" incorrectly somewhere in the past. Have fun!
  5. Should still have a full rear end - subframe, saddlebags and trunk, might have a false tank cover and one side panel. Also a worn saddle. All black from a Std '83. You're welcome to it (I'll go find it if you're interested). No charge, just come get it.

    exhaust

had the whole thing off last year (2010) to fix a leak in the rear down tubes, replaced the expensive gaskets at that time and removed most of the internal baffle which was broken loose (the rest was still attached), collector really didn't look bad at the time, so maybe it will not be too bad, guess I'll find out. Definitely don't want to spend $500 to get a new collector. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Yeah, but can you do that without taking the exhaust off:think: the hole is on the top of the collector

Any way to fix a small leak in the top forward right side of the collector without having to drop the entire system????
  11. If you just ordered it, why not see if they can change it????
  12. Gave Brenda a tablet PC, which she's thrilled with. Coincidentelly, she gave me a kindle fire, which I'm not sure what to do with as I already have a Dell XT ( tablet) as well as a smart phone, which I also use as a reader. It's all good though.
  13. You just added a new wrinkle there didn't you. And yes it has a bearing, even more reason to make sure he gets full time to retain full benefits.
  14. Exactly!! If he has a good job offer and refuses to take it, he deserves to lose the job altogether; including his unemployment benefits. I know, sounds harsh, but that is the way I feel.
  15. Funny! And it explains your signature line so well:whistling::crackup: Merry Christmas back at ya!
  16. Oh yeah! More then once, commercial 60 inch with bagger, that sucker weighed in at close to 1000lbs! It's not too bad though if you open the bypass valves on the pumps.
  17. Just contact the royal palace, I believe they have experience getting DVD's from us that they can't play. I'm, sure they have the solution.
  18. which of course presupposes that you are home when they pay you a visit.........
  19. I've got a never used oil/fluid extractor from my boating days i am trying to sell......
  20. One step ahead don't matter, you gotta come back sooner or later, and you know they don't forget nothing!! Besides they always win, they got half the money and they have all the .....; well you fill it in.
  21. Hey Squid, This may not do you much good but Brenda andI went with what was possibly the most expensive one. The reason was that it provided us with a system which operates even when the power is down or the phone line is cut. It also helped that Blue Ridge Security was neither pushy, nor boastful; simply to the point and matter of fact. They even offered a monthly service plan based on how much we opted to pay for the install. We wound up with two motion sensors, two glass breaks, 7 door sensors and I think 26 window sensors. Think we paid $2500 for the install.
  22. Can you say SCAM????? I had my hopes up that I might be able to pick up a Valk at a very favourable price but the return E-Mail seems to be screaming "SCAM". This is the return message: the bike is still for sale and is in excellent condition as you can see from the pictures. Some minor plastic scratches,no accidents or any kind of damage and it has a clear title. If you are interested in buying it, the price is $****.00 and this is with shipping costs to your location included. I'm selling the bike because I can't use it due to my new job (I work as a casino dealer on a cruise ship) and I don't have anyone in the US to whom I can give it. All documents, including owner's manual, clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the bike. Also about payment and shipping I will use only eBay Vehicle Protection Program so we can both be protected. If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay. Man, I hate that!
  23. As it turns out that someone will be getting heated grips for Christmas; so I've been doing some research. Here is a link to the Oxford line: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productlist/481/ I've also looked at the KOSO North America line, slightly cheaper but without the auto shut off: http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/ I also found a write up on the various type of heated grips with the one inside the handlebar being the least effective and the heated grip being most effective. I've also looked into Hippo Hands or similar, and/or other hand guards as well as electric gloves. It appears that: electric grips work better with thinner gloves electric grips are good down to about freezing (I'm sure it depends on the individual) Hippo Hands or similar may need guards to keep your controls free HH's will allow the use of standard gauntlets. Sub zero temps will likely require both heated grips as well as electric gloves/guards. That being said, I like Oxfords heated grips in that they will auto shut down if battery levels drop too far. Then again, Oxford also has some handlebar muffs which allow for electric hand warmers to be inserted (heated grip wraps). Don't know if the muffs would allow for the use of a thumb lock "cruise" control (not that anyone needs that in morning commute traffic).
  24. Yeah, but not fully extended!!
  25. ...and you're going to do that .......how???
