lol Thats nothing. I saw a vid of super killer dogs. Some Slavic country. The dogs were so mean the handlers had to wear protection cause the dogs were snapping at them. They let em loose, they jumped over a big tall box van and mauled the guys hiding behind it. Just like in this vid. Also they had one where the dog jumped into a moving truck window and pulled the driver right out of the truck thru the window. Crazy stuff. Heres a link to a video of the kind of dog I have doing some bite work. Nothing like the Malinois for the flying speed attack thou. Those dogs love to hit hard, and are small and fast. You have to be real good to hit one with a round, before he gets you....lol [ame=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5599802171557666904&ei=sflnSd3SAYSQqAKJn_HBAQ&q=Bouvier]Bouvier Altan von der Prinzeneiche French and Int. Congrats, I waited 2 years after my first Bouvier, Dutch, had to be put down, do to cancer. He was 9 years old. Those 2 years were a waste of time with no dog. After I got Bart My dog now. I realized that. I just love dogs so much, they are truly mans best friend. Heres a pic of good old Dutch

Sorry about your loss. I'm down to one uncle myself. They were all very important to me and I miss them all. My last uncle has a old panhead and I hope to do some riding with him this summer. He just put the motor back in after a rebuild. All of them are heros of mine. As im sure old Don was to you. Hang in there.

His bike looked good, so I know I did too...lol The bike ran great again and I'm good to go for M&E's in that area now. I can get up there in about a hour or so.

Eagles all over the place. This place is a bird watchers dream. The wheather sucked, was warm enough but alot of fog and mist. Was a nice ride none the less. The first pix is a eagle in the middle of the picture the rest are gulls and others

It was 45 and sunny, and I was thinking the traffic downtown would be light. I was right. I haven't had the bike up on I-95 yet. So I took her on the big road into the big city...lol Over bridges in the wind, grooves, grates, cobblestones and work areas. She did not faulter. The bike just eats up the road and its nice to have the extra get up and go. Compared to my old V30 Magna. Which was fast , but did not have the top end pull this thing does. I love being able to do what needs to be done, if I have to pass etc. First I stopped at "Penns Landing" where the city has a ice rink and park with a couple of navy ships and sail boats. Then I went for a little trek "old city" looking for a coffee place. I found one and low and behold it was right across the street from Betsy Ross' house. From there it was to the Art museum, past the Rocky steps and around Eakins Oval. Then I went down west river drive past "Boat house row" across Falls Ave bridge, back up east river drive back thru town to 95. And home. Was a nice day, and really helped keep my mind from dwelling on the bad stuff that happened this time last year and during the holidays in other recent years. Look very closely at the picture with all the trash in it, look to the left of the bicycle. You can see a guy that not having a very good Christmas. He is sleeping on a box along the wall. Where you can see where the homeless have their little spots lined up. I realize he's probably there cause he wants to be. But it made me glad for what I do have and what I have been blessed with. Even if I am unhappy about how heavy handed life has been to me lately.

Three and a half hours on the scoot. Temps in the low 40s. I had the "space suit" on as my HD uncle called it. :whistling:So I was nice and warm. Rode thru Valley Forge Park, which was pretty nice. Bike is running very well now, since plug change. I'm having a blast on it. These things are smooth...and I still need a carb tune.

Good stuff, Acts like this, really do make a differance.

I too have used it for years. And I only buy stuff on ebay if they take PP. Plus its nice for buying software, online and sending money to peeps. No problems so far. But I get lots of Phishing email about PP. I never open any of them. You do have to keep on your toes and guard against getting highjacked to the russian mob....lol as stated above.

Rodger that, Batt gloves suck. Thanks My backup plan is to tough it out. Like I said, my gloves our doing a good job, so far.
-
My jacket and pants work good. I bet I could ride around in the twenty's If I wanted. But I would need the heated gloves. If I get em. I'm gonna get the battery powered ones. I have a firstgear "sirocco" jacket and Himalaya motor wear pants. The jacket is the bomb the pants are kinda cheap but warm and were only 50 bucks. I'm hoping we get a couple 45/50 degree days in each month this winter, like recent winters have given us here in the northeast.

I'm with Boomer. I got out three times this week.As long as its dry,and above 35 or so. I put on the stuff I bought to ride around in the cold and take to the road. Sat, my right fingers actually got a little cold. After 3 hours....

I think the club should buy a 1st gen in good shape, as a loaner bike. And lets Squidley have it to hold till he gets another scoot. I will donate $100.00 towards this cause. If we setup a paypal button and people give a dollor or two. I think we can come up with 2 grand to buy a decent 1st gen. After he doesn't need it anymore, we can keep it for the next guy/gal at a central location for the next rider or guests of the club. Or sell it or raffle it off or keep it forever.....Cause thats how long it will run after Squids gets done with her. I'm not blowing smoke, if you think this is a good idea. Lets do it. If its not a good idea, sorry I'm just trying to help. Squidley is a MC icon of sorts. I saw is name way before I ever found my bike or this site. I cant think of a whole season with no Squidley. If you just want to sitout the year because you have other stuff that you need to attend to, thats understandable and we all have been there. Do what you got to do brother, But were here for ya. No BS....

I have been using it for a month or so now, No problems so far. Fingers crossed...lol

Thanks Rom Tom. Your story is a inspiration to us all. Glad your feeling better, good luck and have a great year.

I went and got her inspected the other day, she passed . But the mech said "your only running on 3 cylinders" I kind of thought I was, but I didn't know how much getup and go one of these had. I also cut off a little on the ends of the wires and re-sat the caps, checked all four for spark. I also tryed to clean the fuse holders in the fuse box. It broke as soon as I touched it...lol replaced it with a new type fuse,[need to rebuild the whole unit] And she fired right up Had to readjust the idle and man she flys now. I had no idea how fast these bikes are. I ran her up to 6 grand 1st,2nd and when I got to 3rd I was doing 85mph In like 7 secs, needle was climbing at a alarming rate...lol I eased of and looked for the exit. Man what a machine. I now need to tune the carbs, I will be reading up on it, to see if I can get it close until I can have one of you carb gurus take a look at her. I think I saw a Maryland Maint day....if so I will be in attendance.

I bought a pair of these riding pant cause they were low priced ie:$50.00 and had alot of features. Like hip pads, knee pads, quilted removable liner, zipper for jacket etc. These pants are warm down to the 30s and lower with the liner in. The knee pads don't stay put well thou. right side stays for me left one doesn't want to stay over the kneecap. Material looks and feels good has extra heaver mesh on skid zones. Reflective piping is very bright and it had ankle zippers to help getting them off and on. All and all these are a good part time cold weather MC pant. They are bulky and alot of the stitching of little thinks like the liner stays and belt straps are weak. One belt side has broke already, I guess I can sew it back on. For the money, I think they are worth looking at if you just want a pair of warm and padded pair of waterproof pants in your collection of gear. That you can wear every now and then when its nasty out. I don't know how long the will last. But they are very comfy except for the knee pad moving around on you.....

I got a pair of these boots off of fleabay for $75.00 after the "cashback" deal for using "but it now" They retail for $130.00 or so. Good boots made buy sister company of Sidi, These are good waterproof boots made in a similar fashion as the Sidi touring boots. The zipper is a good one but the zipper pull is SUPER brittle. Broke first time I pulled on it... Put in a small keyring and all is well again. They should have just used a small keyring to start with. The boots are warm and waterproof as far as I can tell, has a shin plate, toe, heal and ankle protection and they broke in, very quickly. They also have very good grip on the road and the trail for that matter. You could walk around in these all day if you had too. Good deal if you need boots and want to save a few bucks and not compromise a whole lot:thumbsup:

I bought a Firstgear Jacket off of fleabay, I thought it was the Killi model and would have been happy if it was, But it turned out to be the next step up jacket. It retails for $400.00+ bucks. I got it for $90.00 something with "cashback" from microsoft. Jacket is well made and has all the vents and pads I wanted. The back padding is weak, but they say it works. The pocket system is a bit over the top, but I'll make use of some of the matrix of stash pockets. If its above say 36 or so you don't need the liner/jacket. Below that your cozy down to 25 or so. Thats the coldest Ive been in so far. Water seems to be repelled pretty good. It has alot of velcro on it to seal things up. Its a hassle fighting the velcro but it works good keeping the air and wet out. The Killi and this jacket look to be very good 3 season jackets all year for some. You can find both of these on the web for around $100.00 bucks. I recommend either one.

Nice job bro. The kids will go gaga, over "Bikin Santa" How about Merry Christmas Tattooed on your knuckles?

Just got back in. Had a nice ride. Less cars on the road today it seems. Bike is running pretty good as far as I know. But it started to backfire alot on decel today, more than before. Im gonna put new plugs in it this weekend, and start looking at doing a carbtune on her.

Well. It's pretty nice out, here. In the high 40s all day,so they say. So, I'm gonna go take a ride while its all sunny out. See how it goes. I hear ya on the gray stuff, Squidley. Gets to me too. I'm sure this winter is gonna be a tough one for me. My losses have been great this year and I'm told its gonna be at least 2 years before I even start to come out of it. To all the others that have lost a loved one this year...I feel your pain. and your in my prayers
