And I PMed you guys a user and Password to try also. Lately its been acting up....sis couldn't connect last couple times we tryed to use it. myTs2 IP is: 24.127.183.98:8767 If any of you use "Xfire" let me know. I have that too. It makes Ts2 hooking up easyer if you have if.

The bike is looking sweet bro. Nice job.

Just changed my oil today. I used the NAPA filter and Rotella 15-40 DINO oil. Bike seems to like it better than the Castrol 4T that I had in it.

I come from a HD background. Both my uncles were/are real deal bikers. Ones a retired FAA big chief with a panhead and the other that has pasted away. Was a top notch mechanic and a tattoed, rubberbands in the beard type biker. He rode a HD chopper he built. Both great guys. Grand dad rode Indians and HD. So bikes run in the blood and I like Harleys good enough, but I understand thier limitation. And for my money I figure it could be better spent on something else. That is if I had the money it takes to buy a Super Glide. Cause thats about the only one I would want...lol Well, not really. If I was rich, I would have a HD custom to cruise around town on. But I'm poor and was lucky enough to find my 88 Venture for a great price. I wave to most, if I see a pack of HDs I'll wait to see If the leader waves before I wave at them. I find the BMW guys and the cafe guys more snobby, than most. I like to stop at a bar with a bunch of mixed type bikes out front. I like to look at the bikes and I'll have a non alcohol beer and sandwich, while I talk to the other riders. You know, the ones that will talk to you without being a jerk. The others I leave alone. They are in their own little world. I do believe my remaining uncle would have razzed me if I spent alot of money on a newer yammy or BMW. I would have to buy a basket case and go from there if I was to do it like they did. Sorry about the rambling, I had a tooth pulled monday and I'm all over the place from the pain killers....and it still hurts some.

If its a paved road in Potter County its usually a nice ride. North central PA has the best scenery. And rt6 is a nice road. Down my way in Philly. Rt82 seems to be "the"road for nice ride. That the Brandywine and Amish country are all good rides. Del water gap and Poconos too. I did 82 last weekend

LOL when I first got my bike it was only running on 3 cyl. After I changed the plugs and ran some seafoam thru it, it was a different bike. I took it to the slab and ran it thru the gears taking it up to 6000rpm to shift at. Like you said, I was amazed. I even made a post about it. I went from 0-85 in about 3.6secs I think. And she wanted to do 100mph, but I backed off and hit the exit. Way fast bikes for being so heavy. On a side note, I cant get over the ride also. So smooth and I still need a carb sync. But the ride is so good I cant imagine a better ride. I like the feet under position, so I'm really happy with the fit. I can flat foot it and fit the bike well. It's like it was built for me. It gets plenty of compliments too. I'm glad this bike found me.

Life can be a brutal meat grinder at times. At my age...51, Its pretty much crunch time. I see some of my friends and myself, getting worn down. Parents dieing, brothers,sisters...friends. Stay strong bro, eat right and try and enjoy life. I find nature and dogs make me happy. I got you in my prayers, along with Don and all the rest. Good luck and watch out for the mooses up there. I'll keep an eye out for the movie, but I dont need any stimuli for deep thought and introspect these days. Its all I do,since my brother had a heartattack and died right in front of me.The Vent helps with that. As does this site and you guys. Thanks

My monthly bad of dog food has gone from $35.00 to 45.00 I just went this weekend for a bag. The sticker shock was huge. I like to feed him the good stuff, but I will look around for an alternative at this rate. As long as its good.

Me and a buddy got out for 4 hours. Did rt 82 north in Brandywine,PA then back down rt 100. Was nice out and bike ran well, saw lots of scoots. Had 2 separate rice rocket guys tailgate my buddy. Who is a real noob. he can ride OK but he's nervous. The sporty is his first bike. We let the two guys with the gas can strapped to the back of the leaders bike, go past at a stop sign. With a wave and a smile.... and the other guy we annoyed by making a turn into a drive way while he was up our ass. It was a friend of my buddys, house and we were obeying all the rules. ..lol He made his own tight spot by being too close. 85% of the riders gave a little wave. Saw a large group of wings and big HDs' all done up, go by. Very impressive and shinny...lol No close calls and just one dumb turn into that drive way. It was all gravel and I just pulled over at the top out of the way. So I didn't mess with the rocks too much. These bikes don't like rocks...lol The pix are from last month, on a smaller colder ride.

Wanted - RH saddlebag lid for 87 VR
ddoggma replied to Gearhead's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I had mine fly off about a month ago...lol Came off on a on ramp right before a major bridge. Had it come off on the bridge, I would of had not got it back. As is, I found it, scratched a bit, but its not broken. I saw a couple on fleabay, when I was checking prices. I dont think I clamped mine down. I was lucky to find it when I back tracked. I had a spot to pull over and all. I think the scratches will buff out, and I now lock em down....- 15 replies

Thats a big rattler, around my way its the cotton mouth we have to watch out for. The rattlers are more west and north of Philly

Yeah, Even if we just put out some calls for info on the car and maybe a couple hundred flyers with a pix of a similar Mustang. At the very least he would more than likely see them and become very uncomfortable in that car. If we do find him....we go from there. Don't do the street Justice on him until we plan how to deal with him, Weather or not he gets his ass kicked or his car gets wacked in the middle of the night. It should be well planed and with plenty of look outs ect. I would drive 6 hours each way to help. Also I have 10 bucks for the fund too.

God bless your boys. And all the others too. I really wish we would just stop trying to help those people over there. They dont want it, so lets bring em home and defend the boarder.

When I got my bike it had very old tires on it that HAD to be replaced because of that age. At first when I saw the bike I was like. "Tires look good" But the seller pointed out the cracks that were hard to see and told me..."You will need new rubber." When I saw the cracks I agreed, with him. I went with the Kenda Kruz tires. For the price, and they have been great,so far. The tires that were on the bike were Metz, and very old, plus the front was the wrong size for the bike....too thin.

That bike is sweet!

I have had her for 4 and a half months now. And put over 1000 miles on her, in the cold. This bike really feels like, a well made machine. And I hope to enjoy it for the rest of my riding days. Whatever that is.12/15 years or so I guess. If I can still see good. Althou she's good on the turns and side roads. It really shows it stuff up on the slabs, doing over 60mph in 4th gear. Super smooth power and ride and the bike just feels like its in it's "zone" Too bad your in the next county and more traffic in 5 mins at that speed. I like to putt around at 55/60 on the big roads. She thinks thats BS

So sad. May he rest in peace.
