  1. Early this afternoon, I was able to mount the front tire and torqued to spec at 58 ft lbs. per the manual. As I proceeded to drain the oil, my wife told me if I can drive her to her appointment for a facial and massage. She also offered me that I can get a facial and a massage at the same time. Without any hesitation, I took a nice hot shower and followed the boss. The oil change will have to wait until Friday morning. 😄
  2. Speaking of CanAm, I was at Don's Kawasaki yesterday and had my SVTC front tire mounted and balanced. While waiting in their showroom, I got the chance to take a closer look at their new 2025 RedRock model built for street and mainly for offroad use. It is sharp. If only I can find the funds to support my desire, this CanAm is a great addition to the fleet.
  3. Finally got the chance to remove the front wheel and take it to the shop at 4 pm yesterday before they close in 1 hour. Today, I’ll mount and go for a ride to the local hardware store.
  4. It does looks like a lot of work for a bike that may still be under warranty. I hope the neighbor finds a competent shop that is able to fix his issue.
  5. Look into the Lemon Law applicable to motorcycles.
  6. They probably should look deeper into the repair history of the vehicle. I am just speculating that it might have been involved in an accident that has never been mentioned. If you don't ask, the dealer will not volunteer any information. If there is no other fix, as far as I am concerned, I would like my money back.
  7. That is pretty much what I am thinking about. In case the unfortunate happens, insurance inspectors are trained to look for details and if it has been determined that the tire has been mounted incorrectly...that is the end of story. No coverage given. Just my take.

    Nice collection, Don.
  10. My take on this is that...are you really going to be able to save some money down the road since you still have to unmount and remount the front tire based on what you had mentioned. It may save some money, if you are able to do your own mounting and balancing. In my case, I have to pay a shop to get it mounted and balanced. FWIW, it is a great idea.
  11. Rain has moved out of our area, but cold air will be in place tomorrow them off and on rain up until Friday. I want to cut the grass, but it looks like it will not happen until next week. @sleepy2 Hang in there. Warmer days will come.
  12. I've never been there and will look it up online to learn more about the location.
  13. If it wasn't going to rain this weekend, I could have mowed my lawn the first time. It is hard to believe, our temps will drop in the low 30's once again by next Tuesday. The spirit of winter continue to linger in our area...hopefully not too long anymore.
  14. I'll take the rain, but not hail and snow. I've already put away my snow blower.
  15. I'm in Pennsylvania SE York County near the MD/PA line. It may be time to cut the grass for the first time this season this weekend.
  16. @Chaharly It is indeed pretty quiet lately here. Great to hear from you and the condition of your wife is favorable. Truly understand that no riding for the meantime...Family comes first before anything else. I wish her the best of health and the baby until almost full term. Keep in touch whenever you can. Over here, rain in the forecast for the next three days. This will give me time to work on my front tire to have it replaced.
  17. Good morning Venture riders! Haven't rode for the last 3 days, but weather will improve come the weekend.

  19. Happy Thursday morning to all! Weather is warming up this weekend. Ride safe everyone.
  20. Good morning to all! It is riding season. Ride safe.
  21. I think I am headed to Harbor Freight tomorrow morning.
  22. God morning to all! TGIF! Will pull my SVTC front tire to have a new one installed. Ordered the tire from Dennis Kirk. Enjoy the day.
  23. How is your troubleshooting going as far as your fuel line leak is concerned?
  24. To be honest, I still remember him time to time. One thing I know for sure is he does know the Venture by heart.
  25. I think I am ok. Thanks for the heads up.
