Hello. If you happen to have more spare time, you can try to get back in the group. This social media stuff is very time consuming, but very entertaining.

My 2nd Yuasa is in its 3rd year and still going strong. (Need to plug it in my Trickle Charger soon). The original Yuasa lasted almost 5 years until I decided to replace it. Only Yuasa for me as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I also can't picture how the rear wheel would lock up at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After reading this 'classic' thread once again, this reminds me to perform another carb synch on my Venture. The last time I did it was around the end of summer (2016).

As mentioned previously, I agree that it is very likely your front tire is making the noise. I tend to hear more noise turning on a curve and just plain leaning the bike as I navigate the road. My front tire has about 5K miles or more, so I can see more usage of rubber on the edges during leaning of the bike. In the straights...it tends to be quiet.

Wow! That 2nd pic really does appear to be worn out. Glad your shop was able to get it fixed. -
Had my usual large breakfast and then went for a grocery run. Sunday - went to mass

I learned a new trick just in case I come across a very tight oil filter. This may be my first best choice, if I can avoid an oil mess.

I like the new ride. Enjoy every single mile.

I plan to do the same thing for my '07 RSV. Harbor Freight I shall be. [emoji41] -
Oconeedan, very very glad you survived the crash. I pray for your speedy recovery.

Hmmm. Sounds like Purolator had changed the design of the filter? Am I right?

It is currently 8°F and it feels like -8°F. Schools in our area are on a 2 hour delay. Brrrrrrr.....

Dangerously cold tonight in SE Pa. Wind chills in the negative. It is just 19°F this am with a high of 22°F. Brrrrrrr. Cold. Stay warm mid- Atlantic riders.

Glad to hear all is well. Keep that battery tender handy just in case you go on a long hiatus of some sort. [emoji41]

It is windy and feels like 17°F. Snow tomorrow. It will be in the mid 20's for a high for the next 2 or 3 days. This afternoon, I plugged my RSV battery on trickle charge. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/05/72ff461ad8047aba8010ff8e039022f7.jpg

Rear tire change.....what to do???
N3FOL replied to Kettlinton's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I agree removing all bags to make your job easier. It is also a good time to do a visual check on what is under there. Fwiw, it takes longer for me to check on my Facebook account than removing a bag on my RSV. [emoji11]
