  1. Dunlops are good tires. I've used them on my Kawasaki... OEM tire btw.
  2. I've been using brickstones ever since and have never tried any other brand tire on my RSV. In fact, I am on my 3rd set and soon will be OB my 4th for the front and back anytime soon. No complaints on my end as far as the tires are concerned. Being 5'5" and 180 lbs., I do find the RSV easy to handle even at slow speeds. I guess this all depends on who you ask. We all have our own choice of tires and some depend on others to get reviews of the tire and what not... D404s are great tires and perform well on my Kawasaki. Either tire to me IMO are good tires for the RSV.
  3. Get well soon Rick. What what I've read so far, you have a wealth of information on how to store your bike for an extended period. Regards.
  4. Thanks for sharing pics.

Just looking at it I get nauseated. Wow!
  6. Good info. I needed a refresher.
  7. Yep! This is a great site. I've done all my maintenance with the guidance of all the members and tech online help. Ride Safe
  8. May Tommy Rest In Peace.
  9. Glad to hear both are ok.
  10. Congrats!
  11. Thanks for the pics. Nice ride.
  12. I will assume you are still in your "break- in" period. Hopefully your mpg will improve down the road.
  13. You are right. Your calipers may have to be rebuilt - some librication of some sort. Your mirrors can be replaced. This just remind us all how heavy our bike is. Always pay attention and be mindful of the weight. Glad to hear you are home with no other major issues.
  14. For some reason, I see very little difference whether I cruise at 65 or 75 mph.
  15. My 5 year old Yuasa oem had a sitting voltage of 12.4V with over 34K miles and every winter has been supplying me with needed power for my Gerbings. I know it would still start my bike, but I think keeping my old battery longer is on borrowed time. A premature death of the batt is imminent. So I decided to stay with the trusted Yuasa brand and now I also have the peace of mind as I ride far away from home knowing my bike will start with confidence.
  16. Simply wave and at the same time pay close attention to riding. If your left hand is on the clutch then don't sacrifice your safety just to wave or wave back. Never take it personal, if the rider does not wave back. This is my mentality.
  17. With the size of RSV battery, I make sure to charge the battery no more than 2 Amps at 12 Volts. I have a new Yuasa installed and it is performing ok so far.
  18. Congrats on your 'new to you' ride. Lots of members here that know your bike. Ride Safe.
  19. Glad all is ok.
  20. This shows us there is very little reaction time whenever a deer appears in front of us while riding. Have fun and be careful out there.
  21. Yesterday, I got the chance to replace my old Yuasa battery. It has been on the bike for about 6 years. The old battery will still start the bike, but the sitting voltage was at 11.5 volts. Before I installed the new battery, I first gave it a slow 2 amp charge for about an hour. Having this new battery is good for my peace of mind.
  22. Welcome Cfox...!!!
  23. The last time I did my shaft, I had my son use a hanger to lift it up for me. It took a few tries and made sure it is connected properly.
