  1. Well, I am hunkered in right now. Snow Blower oil changed and full of gas. Generator is ready to go. Venture is resting until maybe Friday. SE corner of PA will get a significant amount of snow. If you are from the NE corridor, prepare now. Be Safe.
  2. I've heard several bad deals happen via Craigslist. I've never done any postings or inquiry on that website. Scammers are all over. Be smart and be careful.
  3. Rest In Peace, Richard.
  4. I also had just replaced by 3rd set of Rear Bridgestone for a new Shinko 777 HD. I liked the tire and I think it will hold up well on my Venture. Already put in 200 miles and I am happy with the feel of the ride. I shall update you guys as to how the tire performs in the long term.
  5. Already prepping and checking the bike for a ride today. Windy but tolerable. Ride Safe Everyone.

    Hi Again

I just rejoined a few months ago as well after being away busy riding my bike. Welcome back!
  9. I've done mine awhile back and if I am not mistaken, there is a small hole on the left side and you have to use a coat hanger to gently lift it up while you slide in the shaft. An extra hand can save you lots of time.
  10. Footall season is over for now. At least I have March Madness and the NBA to keep me entertained. Need to ride as soon as the weather clears out.
  11. To Black Owl Be strong and always believe. You shall recover in no time. My Prayers sent.
  12. I wiped the tank down and then rode for about 10 minutes. Came home and then plugged the battery to my trickle charger and said "Good Night."
  13. I havent' seen Full Sunshine for awhile now. I still have to log in my first ride of the year. Frustrating.

  15. My Prayers to All affected by the bad weather in the South.
  16. Old Man Needs Glasses!
  17. Ahh. This reminds me to plug in the bike on trickle charge. Icy conditions tonight. Ugly weather for the next few days. What else is new? Winter weather is affecting my ride time.
  18. Congrats on your upcoming retirement plans. I am also getting tired of winter this season and I don't know why I feel this way. Perhaps it is due to me not able to ride at least once so far this year and weather for the whole week here in SE Pa. is not looking so promising. At any rate, start packing and don't forget to bring your Venture with you.
  19. Now that's a Great Deal!

Yep. I get this time to time in my mailbox. Very tempting, but we know better not to click on something I am not familiar with. Always be a step ahead...
  22. One More Time!!!! Happy New Year to All!!!! It is great to be back on this forum as always.
  23. Yes. I had just replaced my fuel filter about 5 months ago. This strange phenomena occurred around August. I still have the same fuel filter and rode a lot during the Fall months, but not so much this December. As soon as I am done cleaning my office area by tomorrow, I will also replace my fuel filter together with my rear tire. To be honest, it was not a good feeling being stuck on the side of the road with my Venture as I always do a lot of night riding.
  24. I had a similar occurrence last Summer around August. Left the house in the afternoon. Two miles down the road, I noticed my engine died as I was coasting downhill. Luckily I was not on a road going uphill or it would be a different story. At any rate, I was able to pull on the side of the road and sat there cranking my engine. One think I remember is that I only have less than 1/4 of a tank left. Being a member of this forum, I remember things to do in case something like this happen while on the road.....so I opened my gas tank and at the same time switched to Reserve. I didn't really notice any air going in, when I opened my tank. One thing to consider, I had just replaced my fuel filter around March 2016. So......I sat on the side of the road for about 3 to 5 minutes and whalllaaaa, my bike fired right up and off I go... To make this long story shorter, it has never occurred to me anymore up to this date. This week, I will replace my fuel filter to have peace of mind during this winter months. I have 50K plus miles and still on my original fuel pump.
  25. Yeah Jrichard. There will also be chance of Thunderstorms all summer long. If weather cooperates, participants will have a great time.
