    Dragon trip

I've never been to the Dragon, but I've always heard about it from friends and co-workers and mostly positive feedback. From what I've heard, it is a great experience. Perhaps someday, I will also make it to the Dragon.
  2. Is there a member here that rides the 2018 Star Venture? The future looks very promising.
  3. I really like the features. The GPS, etc. is exciting. It can be learned as you go. If I only had the money to buy a fully loaded right now... Oh by the way, I guess the shifter is a press down and push up with the front of your left shoe. Hmmmm. Not so excited about that I guess.
  4. Action Motorsports may have them in a couple of months. I will check with them every other week.
  5. Well, I am starting to be very curious about this new touring bike. In the next few months, I am hoping to get a closer look on the bike at our local Yamaha dealer. Some really don't want the belt driven bike, but I personally don't have any problems with it. Enjoyed watching the video.
  6. Nic clear pic. Yes, I agree. Your splines can definitely use some brand new grease.
  7. I have Kryptonite for you!
  8. Nice looking bike!
  9. Every time my wife says a similar statement, I learned to always consult her anyway because it almost always turns out to be the opposite of how she feels.
  10. I left it at home today, but I gave it a nice wipe down. Her Clutch and Brake Fluid will be replaced soon.
  11. Weird? Well, I still have my most reliable 2007 Toyota Prius with 143,000 miles and climbing. Love it to death!
  12. On my '07, I was already 4 miles away from home and then the engine died. Lights were there, battery in good health but the engine just died for no reason. I coasted on the side of the road and waited for about 5 minutes trying to figure out what happened. I really thought I may have hit the kill switch accidentally, but that was not the case. After cranking the engine for about 5 times, the engine went back to life and off I go to my destination. The following day, I decided to replace my fuel filter and it has never occurred ever since. Just wanted to share...
  13. The biker had great instincts to avoid the car that abruptly swerved to his lane and was very lucky that he did not go down. As for the cager, that move was to intentionally hurt the rider in some shape or form. Unfortunately, it ended up to be a very ugly outcome for the cager and motorists around the accident. Just another bad incident that we all have to learn and avoid and hopefully it never happens again.
  14. Yep. The '18 is a new model. As for any new models whether it be a car or truck or motorcycle, there has to be something that might need to be recalled or what not....time will tell and hundreds of miles on the road and helpful owner feedback will for sure help me decide what to do next.
  15. I am also thinking about the trade or keep my '07. I really enjoy my current Venture and it only had 51K miles and climbing. Perhaps I should first test ride the new Venture and find a place in the garage to park it someday. Have you test ridden the '18 Venture?
  16. To shoot a man just because you disagree with his government policies is very wrong. It is a sad day for America. The Congressman is still on critical condition and I am praying that he will recover fully.
  17. Yeah.....Welcome Back. Riding is truly in your blood.
  18. Hmmmm, I wish it is solar powered.
  19. Welcome to the forum, Scribz. This is the right place to get lots of information and help to assist you in any repair or maintenance or modification you would like to do on your Venture. As far as maintenance and such...I am not sure if it has been mentioned before, replace your gear oil every other oil change. I use 80W90 on my bike and that seem to take care of most of the whine.
  20. Today, Tomorrow and the next day - will ride the bike as much as I can.
  21. One of the things I don't like about a Belt Driven motorcycle is the fear of having a belt break while I am hundreds of miles away from home in the middle of the night. I do a lot of night riding as well, so I want to have the peace of mind that my bike will not break down in the late nights and early morning hours. I also don't like replacing a belt drive....I heard it is not the easiest task to do as a DIY. With that said, I am very happy with my '07 knowing that I have a shaft driven bike and a proven motorbike. I may have to wait awhile until new owners of the transcontinental motorbike put out their likes and dislikes about the bike in the long term.
  22. That was not fun at all after loosing all lights on your dash and most importantly all turn signals are not working. At any rate, it may be a case of a wire being kinked and pressed unto something that is causing the fuse to blow prematurely. Hoping you can find the problem soon.
  23. I hope to remember to go online within 1 hour.
  24. That is a good answer to my question.
  25. Who needs Oil?
