  1. @cowpucThanks for posting the videos. So nice to learn and see the engine cutaways.
  2. I am glad @Lloyd posted this thread. It reminded me to check my rear shock air pressure. I normally would pump it up around 38-40.
  3. I wonder what it is called on the SVTC and Eluder.
  4. I have not replaced one on this end also, but if you are going to replace that large piece of aluminum, you will have to perhaps replace and order a gasket as well. Just speculating. There might be several bolts that you will have to torque to recommended spec. See what Yamaha recommends to replace. If there is a gasket, go ahead and replace it. The job looks to be straighforward. Good Luck.
  5. I am hoping he still has some items for sale. Just emailed him - looking for accessories for my ‘07 RSV.
  6. Glad you and Eileen had a great time at the lake. Very nice and relaxing. Thanks for sharing your pics.
  7. Wish I can experience Biketoberfest at least once in my lifetime. Have fun.
  8. I mowed yesterday. Fertilizer is going down on Tuesday before the rain. 😂
  9. Your son might be able to get away with it for a few years, but when it is time to renew the permit...is another situation he will have to deal with.
  10. Rode the SVTC for most of last week and have been riding the RSV for most of this week. Weather has been great for any ride for the next 7 days. Maintenance is coming up for my RSV.
  11. I also saw that from another social media yesterday. Looks like a very bad accident with 6 ambulances responded to the scene. My prayers to all that have been affected. Cars on the road are slowly starting to increase in volume now that more people are returning back to work, so we all have to more vigilant as ever. Ride safe and always watch your speed.
  12. Glad to see I am also not alone. I have not fertilized yet, but this weekend is looking very promising. Weather is so nice this time in November. 2 more cuts before I put away the tractor.
  13. I read about that too. Good for me, I guess. I am still riding even when temps are in the low 30s. It just feels great. I’ll take whatever chance I can to ride and I especially will not be so sad if I don’t get to use my snowblower this winter season. Ride safe and don’t forget to turn on the heat. 😃
  14. @RDawson Honestly, it is not bad. With your short windshield, I can see it can make your ride more comfortable. Really liking the vents.
  15. That is a really nice addition to any bike especially if you are a taller rider.
  16. It is coming.
  17. @ecbaatzI’ll message you. Thank You. 😃
  18. I like both ways depending on the time of day. Thanks for the instructions.
  19. I am almost always the only person in the garage and I work on my bikes as a DIY with ample tools. Because of this, Speedbleeders are my life saver when it comes to bleeding brakes. It truly becomes a one man job in replacing brake fluid. My RSV has them and I already placed an order for my SVTC.

    New Look

I like the easiness of change from light to dark mode with just a single press. The website is looking good. 👍🏻
  21. @ecbaatzThanks for the heads up. I didn't know there is a copy here that I can view. I will explore this asap.
  22. I am about to purchase and download the Repair and Service Manual for my 2018 SVTC through Yamaha. For $9.50, I think it is a great deal. Has anyone downloaded their manual from Yamaha? If so, is it worth purchasing?
  23. When I saw the pic, it does not look so bad...but the bike may have some significant hidden problems that can be very problematic. As mentioned before, see if the engine is any good...however, you will have to determine that yourself and definitely seek a second opinion. Say the engine is still good, you still have a lot to tinker and replace (fluids, etc.). Are the tires any good or could be close to being dry rotten. The list can go on and on and on. With that said, if you have all the time and now that we are approaching the colder months, tis the season to work on a project bike. You are in the right forum and there are several members here with tons of knowledge and expertise and they can guide you and give you confidence. Whatever you decide, Good Luck and most importantly...Have Fun working on your RSV.
  24. @Patch
  25. @FlyinfoolThank You. I like it this way without quoting the whole previous response. 👍🏻😀
