  1. During this National Emergency and CDC’s health guidelines, I’ll be spending more time indoors - so I might as well do some online shopping. As far as bike air pump and plug kit is concerned that I can carry with me, what most of you recommend that is proven to be the most reliable for years to come... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. With all due respect, I don’t see the importance and significance of having a temperature gauge on the air cooled SVTC. I am not an engineer nor have any clear knowledge of the Yamaha engine and intricacies of its technology. FWIW, LongHaulPaul has rode 100K miles with no major engine issues in less than 2 years - so no worries. Yamaha engine is tough and can withstand some abuse. IMO, if the SVTC engine will ever overheat - your legs will be over cooked long before you realize it is already overheating. [emoji4][emoji2][emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Praying for your speedy recovery, Don. Don’t forget your medications and do get A LOT of Rest. [emoji120][emoji120][emoji120] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. LOL on Toilet paper. We all need to realize that there is no food shortage in the US. No to this.... [emoji851] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I see the difference between States. You are in Kentucky and my wife teaches in Maryland. They don’t have to come for 2 weeks, while schools are closed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I am sure students and teachers alike are speculating that their Scheduled Spring break will be used to make up days lost as a result of the school closures nationwide. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Didn’t get the chance to ride for the last 4 days. Today / rode to work for a 30 mile commute and at 35°, it felt so nice to be back on the bike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I didn’t bother going to the grocery store Thursday and Friday knowing the situation. We have enough supply for a week or so, but I am hoping the buying frenzy will slow down within the next few days. Planning to hit Walmart early tomorrow. 10. Glad to hear China is doing much better than a few months ago. Now, we see a ripple effect of the virus in Europe. Humanity will get through this one way or another. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Pa. Gov. had just announced the same thing, but will only close for 2 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I've used the heat several times and the different levels does work.
  13. It is truly unprecedented. Univ. of MD, Towson Univ, Loyola U and Johns Hopkins and surrounding CC colleges and more have also switched to online instructions. I am also a huge basketball fan and am disappointed that I will not be able to enjoy March Madness next week.
  14. Today, there is just too many things in the news regarding the virus and efforts to slow the spread. Pa. Gov. advise Pennsylvanians to limit/avoid Malls, Movies, etc. .... Maryland Public Schools will be closed for 2 weeks starting next Monday...and the list goes on and on and on. The only thing that will stop me from riding is the weather, but we should all continue to monitor the corona virus situation and recognize the ongoing uncertainty and concern that it is causing. Ride Safe and Wash Your Hands for at least 20 seconds.

I don't have experience with the Tour Master, but I have the Shinko 777 installed front and rear on my '07. So far, I have about 8K miles on the rear and looks like it still has another 5K to 6K miles left. The front - I had just installed them a few months ago. Overall, I've been very happy with the ride. Good grip and much quieter than my previous Bridgestones.
  16. Very nice. Congrats on your new ride.
  17. Belated Happy Birthday, Don!

  19. Hello. Earlier this afternoon , I contacted a friend who is also the Yamaha Field Service Advisor East region and he stated that I should blame it to my gauge. I will have to take a closer look at the sidewall of the tire and determine what is its max pressure rating. Also today, I requested my fellow worker (very good ham radio operator and we have known each other for years) who works in our calibration department to check the accuracy of my tire gauge. He is very happy to take a look at the gauge as soon as possible. I’ll let you guys know what transpired. [emoji1696] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I know the tire gauge I bought from Advance auto years ago has not been calibrated. When I fill my tires to 41 psi using my gauge as recommended by Yamaha, the bikes infotainment sys indicates 44 psi on both tires. Is my gauge off and is giving me false reading or could it be my SVTC sensors. Perhaps I trust the bikes sensor in this case. Your thoughts....? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I've had my '07 RSV since she on had 2 miles on the odometer. 13 years later, I still have to be very mindful of her every time I reach a stop. I carry lots of stuff to and from any destination, so I am also carrying extra weight. One thing I always remember to do is to make sure that I have good recommended tire pressure front and back. Slow speed riding is not an issue, but I should always have the presence of mind that my 2nd Gen RSV is truly top heavy. On the other hand, when I jump on the SVTC I don't experience any of the top heaviness on the bike - even if I have to load the bags. Switching back and forth requires my full attention. I think they are completely two different bikes. IMO, the 2nd Gen RSVs are still bullet proof and have lots and lots of potential.
  22. That bike is truly special. The very first one to be made and still looking good.

    Hey all!

Hello there! Riding season is just around the corner.
  24. After all the rain yesterday and almost all morning, I felt I had to do something. Roads finally dried down and so I ran errands on my '07 RSV and rode it for only 10 miles. So glad I got to ride her this afternoon. Also today, I rode the SVTC to work. Plan to wipe them down tomorrow. Ride Safe out there.
  25. Yes. Just like in the picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
