  1. I just can't give up with Yamaha just yet. SVTC bikes are loved by many and off course has some issues as well, but easily addressed with Yamaha's 5 Year warranty. I remain optimistic that Yamaha will continue to innovate and put out fun bikes for us to enjoy.
  2. I'd like to also see them sets in different sizes as well.
  3. @craigatcsi Hope you feel better soon. Even though you no longer can ride, focus on what is now more important to you and that will be your health. Memories do last forever...
  4. Michelin or Dunlop are great choices. Since you already have a Dunlop in front, go for a Dunlop tire to match.
  5. Glad to hear that your lowered front is working out nice for you. Ride Safe.
  6. Hi Don. Congrats on the new Trike. Have lots of fun with it.
  7. When I got my Taco '21 OR, I got Ceramic coating and rustproofing. The ceramic coating will be reapplied by the dealer every 5 years, so they said I don't have to worry about waxing. They did not try to sell me Nitrogen and I don't intend to fill my tires with Nitrogen anyway. Regular air is perfect for me as well.
  8. We are all getting some type of heat wave over here on the East Coast, but I still managed to ride my RSV and SVTC taking turns every other day. Today I will spend time with the RSV and go for a nice ride to and from work. Even though I do not have any long rides scheduled, I cherish the time simply riding the bike doing local errands and commute to and from work. As always, Ride Safe. The next time I get the chance and hopefully this weekend, I will replace plugs, coolant and fuel filter on the RSV.

  10. Perhaps look into a storage place and inquire about a week of storage, if you run out of options.
  11. @Freebird When I saw the picture, I already had a big hunch the truck may be totalled...so glad to know Eileen is ok. Hope you get more or almost close to what you paid for from your insurance. I have a 21 OR and love it very much. The 22 Pros are very nice. Happy shopping for a new truck.
  12. Thanks for the heads up and thankfully I've never ordered from them.
  13. @Freebird Hi Don. Glad you were able to get a ride in. Same here, I've been riding a whole lot more these days switching between the RSV and SVTC and it has been great as well. Be safe out there.
  14. I am liking it.
  15. I also don't tune all the time. In fact is has been 3 years since the last one. Bike still runs great.
  16. Thanks for posting. We all need this.
  17. @gorski Glad you are back on the RSV. On this end, I am so glad that I did not get rid of my '07. The decision made it easy for me to keep my RSV simply because of this site for all the knowledge I gained on how to maintain the bike. These bikes are truly very solid...(knock on wood) I've never had any issues of any kind. Ride safe!
  18. I am still here. Just too busy riding lately and working on routine maintenance on my '07 RSV. Pretty interesting what Don had posted about Star Touring. I still get a lot of emails from the Hanover, Pa. Star Touring group, so I am starting to wonder...how long will they last. Keep in touch. Ride safe.
  19. I haven't heard anything as well. The design is very new for Yamaha to completely stop production.
  20. I hope it is a temporary situation due to supply chain issues that affects the entire industry.
  21. Great idea to add storage for small items.
  22. @Yama Mama Hello there as well and to all. Be safe always and have a nice riding season.
  23. Really Sharp looking bike. Nice acquisition....Enjoy thousands of miles with her. Ride Safe,
  24. @DarthJ Down the road if you can find a bike that has been through a number of warranty work such as the 'brake switch' and 'starter', etc...it can save you time effort in taking the bike back for repairs. Have fun shopping and keep in touch.
  25. Spray some penetrating liquid on that bolt before you tackle the job. It may help a bit.
