Just once!!! On our way home, on the last day of a long trip down to the east coast. Fully loaded with luggage and roll bag. Pulled into a road side stop for gas and a much needed brake off the 401 just west of Toronto. Went to park after a sharp turn and .......... down I went. Wasn't really moving at the time. I was just beat and didn't have the energy (mentally or phyisically) to hold it up. Was smart enough to tuck and roll as they say. The first I did was jump up, look around to see if anyone seen the bone head lying on the ground beside his bike. Thankfully only one couple looked over at me. My riding buddy helped me set it back up and checked for damage. Nada!!! Lesson learned I guess..... when your tired like that, just pull into a spot and park it.

Close to MY house you say.......hmmmmm Well, since I live in Stoney Creek, just a stones throw from Dunnville, (many a coffee at Timmys' there), my favorite ride is the same as YOURS!!! Only difference is, coming back out of Port Delusie I take the north service road beside the QEW all the way to Hwy 20 and home. Try to make this my annual "first ride" with good weather of the season. All winter we talk about our "Niagara Run"...... Can't Wait!!!

That is one sweet ride. Someday I hope something like that will follow me home too...

Bought my 07 RSDT this year with 24,000 kilometers on it. This year so far I put on just over 20,000 for a total of 44,000 and counting. Still a few rides left I hope.

Engine Guard flexing w/Kuryakyn Longhorn footpegs

I put support brackets on my RSTD for the very reason you are concerned about. The original idea came from Carbon One. He pointed them out to me as we were crawling around under his trike. I made my brackets are a lil different than his but do the same job. I couln't get them to fit the same way Freebird has them in his pics. My bars don't move at all now. I can apply as my pressure to my pegs and they are rock solid. I actually layed the bike down (NOT on purpose) it was a long day, I was whipped and just couldn't hold it up when stopped and down she went...... The supports worked great. If you are interested I'll be happy to take pics. I know Carbon One was thinking of making brackets for sale but was very busy at the time. Ed -
Great to hear all are back safe and sound. Great trip, great ride, great friends, all with great "food" too.......

Stebel horn location???
zoner replied to LtShame's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Iv'e installed the Stebel (deluxe model) on my 07 TD. I fits in nicely, no trouble with the wiring getting hot or the air intake. It dosen't seem to be awkward to me. I used Carbon Ones' bracket with a spacer. He offered to make a longer armed one for me, but the spacer works fine. The chrome matches perfect with the rest of the engines chrome. -
:thumbsup:Myself and a friend have dealt with Radio World. Have not had any problem with them at all. We both run the Zumo 550. Unfortunately we aren't hooked up to XM, so I can't help you there.

……. to meet Carbon One (Larry Skeels). I knew I was going to be in Larrys’ neck of the woods in Michigan. I have relatives in the area. Called Larry up before I left saying I’d be in the area and would it be ok to come over, meet him and take a look at one of his lift adapters and just chat. We met at a time that was good for both of us. He is one pure gentleman, plain and simple!!! We talked about his trike, the mods he’s done, we crawled up under it so I could see how the lift adapter worked and answered all my questions with sincerity and a smile. He invited me in his home, met his wife, two dogs and to take look at his winter project (and newly renovated kitchen) and checked out some of the archery trophies. I’m a better person to have met Larry, and I encourage anyone if they get a chance to meet him also. I'm sure any one else who has met him with agree with me. p.s …… I did get the lift adaptor and it works as described. Thanks again Larry. A new friend, Ed.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. The "red metalflake" one.......yikes!!! Just like I remember it. No bubble shield though, just the small visor that snapped on. When I no longer used it, it was kept for the memories. The grand kids/grandkids took thier turn wearing it and playing motorcycle. The foam inside was disinigrating slowly and I finally chucked it out (just 2 years ago) Again Thanks.....Will Make My Day!! Ed

My local dealer just went under and had a closing out sale. I picked up some real good deals including the top rails. Just installed them, and they look great!! Protection for the bags and kind of a handle when opening the bags. Of what I can see, not only do they look good (shiny is alawys good) but will be functional as well. I don't have pics yet but when I do I'll post.
