Just wanted to let you all know that my incident on ebay is suppose to get resolved. The seller is suppose to send me a shipping label and refund me the purchase price. Of course I will be out for the shipping cost, but that's better than the whole amount. Can you purchase this from any where in the United States? My wife doesn't like the idea of ordering this from the United Kingdom. For those of you who have purchased from the United Kingdom do you pay with credit card or what? Thanks hairman

He described in his description that it was a 4 column. Will this 2 column do the job or not? thanks hairman

I bought a used carbtune II on ebay and when I received it I only got 2 tubes in it instead of four. The picture in the manual that I got with it shows 4 and the pictures I have seen on here show 4. I guess I need four or does someone know something else about these? I'm afraid I have gotten ripped off because there is a place for 4 tubes in this one that I received. thanks hairman

How do you post a web page on here so that if you click on the link then it will display the page that I am referring to? I tried to do this earlier, but when you click the link it says that the web page can't be displayed. Thanks hairman

Here is 6 lights on this bracket. Check it out- it's pretty rusty though. -
Can I use a vacuum/pressure gauge test kit instead of a carbtune? Will this give better results than the carbtune? Any other ideas? I am going to try to post a picture of one that I found on ebay. Thanks hairman

I was wondering if there is a way to save a particular thread for future reference? I know how to save it to my favorites on my computer, but I was wondering if there is a way to save it under me on this site? Thanks hairman

I had the kickstand on blocks so that I would know that I had it level for the fluid in the rearend. I attached the bunge cord to the wall and the motorcycle to help stabilize it so that it wouldn't fall over (BAD IDEA). As far as the mufflers- I got the Road King Stock Mufflers. hairman

Thanks!!! I got the mufflers on. I decided to drain the rearend fluid while I had everything off. I had to level the bike up so that all the fluid would drain out. I decided to hook a bungy cord to the bike to hold it up while I took the muffler off that side. I put my ratchet on the muffler clamp and pushed against it and the bike fell over. I broke my mirror. The mufflers sound GREAT. Thanks hairman:thumbsup2:

I have a quarter inch free play on the throttle on my 1999 RSV. I adjusted about 1/8 of it out of my carb. When I adjusted the rest out on my handle bars the throttle will not spring back like it should. If you adjust it back then it will spring back. I have even sprayed cable lube in it. Any advice? Thanks hairman

I went to the local Yamaha shop to get the (freeze plugs) rubber boots. They wanted around 15.00 a piece for them. A drain plug (plastic) for the radiator 9.50. I didn't get either one of them. I put loc thread on the rubber boots and put them back in. I went to Napa and got a "real" metal drain plug bolt for 2.50. So far no leaks. Thanks for the help. hairman:thumbsup2:

Thanks for all the good advice. I would have replied sooner, but a storm came thru and knocked out my internet. I got it on there without anything. It took me about 20 minutes though. Thanks again hairman:thumbsup2:

I have a 1999 RSV. I got a new valve cover gasket today, and I took the old one off. There was silicone every where. I was wondering if the valve cover pan was on the wrong way. There is an arrow in the pan that was pointing toward the back tire. I am wondering if it is suppose to point that way or does it really matter? Thanks hairman

I tried to tighten the 3 bolts up but they would only turn less than a quarter of a turn. I wiped it dry and I will check it tomorrow because it doesn't leak a whole lot. I really hope that you are right! Thanks for the advice.

I have had an antifreeze leak on my 1999 RSV for some time now. I have narrowed it down to a certain area that it is coming from. I need help on what to do. It is coming from the bottom of the side cover of the head. I am wondering if I take the side cover off is there a gasket or not? If it is not possible to be the side cover then do you think it would be the head gasket or the water jacket joint? I am going to attach some pictures? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I don't know a whole lot about motorcycles. Thanks hairman
