  1. I have an '05 RSTD and my replaced my rear with an E-3. I really like it. I used to have a roar in the curves, and it completely went away. I wish the front tire would wear out now so I could get rid of the Bridgestone on it.

  4. I know, I hate having to keep up,with all of the different passwords I have. The latest one I had to change to get into Caterpillar's system. You have to have at least 7 characters including at least "1 letter 1 number and one symbol" for example giraffe#2. Now who can remember crap like that?
  5. The TD also has the lower fairings and those ugly (IMHO) air cleaners.
  6. I figured someone here would have one. Hey Don, Call me at work if you find it. I'll be there from 8-4:30. I have internet at work, but they have sites like this one blocked, so I can't check back until I get home. The guy that's needing it works with me, so I'll let you and him work out the shipping. 1-800-
  7. A guy at work was installing some Kuryakin Grips and broke the thingamajig that the throttle cable attaches to (no. 8 in the picture). I'm sure it wouldn't have to be from a V-Star, I think any that fits a 1" bar will work. Does anyone here have one?
  8. Well, being as I work for a Kenworth dealer here in Knoxville, I'm not crazy about Freightliners, but in these economic times you can't be too picky. Truth is I sell a lot of Freightliner parts too. My Dad was an OTR truck driver until he died in '99. It's a tough job, but he raised 3 boys and our little sister driving trucks. He had a Diamond T back in the day. He also had a couple of KWs, but his favorite was a 379 Peterbilt.
  9. That's baffling to me. I had Progressive and went from a V-Star to a RSTD and my insurance rates doubled. That was the only change I made. My agent said it was because of the higher cost of the bike. I couldn't believe it doubled, but I haven't been able to find it any cheaper. I would just go with liability, but if I wrecked it, I wouldn't be able to afford another bike for a long time.
  10. Finally some good news. I just wish I could afford to buy one.
  11. I may be looking at it wrong, but couldn't it be as simple as a list by state in a word or excel document?
  12. I was waiting until it was decided how we're going to create the list to respond. I think it's pure genius. I have a couple of places I can suggest.
  13. I wish I had my truck paid for. If I did, I might have to take advantage of that.
  14. That'll really be impressive when you get ready to screw, you can just whoop out that big 8" Phillips screwdriver. All the guys will be envious and the women will swoon.
  15. We got one last week. I came home to find 5 large pine trees had blown over. I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel and don't have time to clean up the mess, so I guess they'll lay there until summer.
  16. Wix has one of the most thorough interchanges. You should be able to cross the Wix number to whatever brand you want. Wix filter interchange Stens Filter
  17. Just go ahead and say what you mean Bill.. I'll have to say I agree with you. I don't understand why anyone would listen to him.
  18. I have had a can of WD-40 around since I was a teenager (not the same can) another good use I didn't see on your list is removing bumper sticker residue.
  19. THat's cool, how do you do it?
  20. Twue Love....
  21. Okay, I'll give it another chance...
  22. Does anyone have experience with communication devices that will work on an RSTD? I found this one with a Google search http://www.bikeintercom.com/products/motorcycle_intercom .html but I have never used one and I don't know if it's a quality product or not. I can't afford much right now, but Spring is getting near and it would be nice if my wholesome honey and I could talk while we ride. I am very ignorant about electronics, so keep this in mind when answering. Thanks, JT
  23. Hang in there Don! I quit smoking 34 years ago, but later started dipping. I'm grateful that now I'm tobacco free. It's a hard addiction (it's not just a "habit")to break, but you can do it.
  24. The linings pull out of mine too. I usually leave my chopsticks at home when I ride, but if that was the only problem I had, I wouldn't think a thing about it. The only reason I post is because they refuse to fix or replace a defect in a satisfactory manner.
  25. I am sure there are people who have had good experiences with Gerbing. My experience was not good at all. I am out over $200 and I feel helpless. It's now the middle of Feb. and I still haven't gotten any kind of service from Gerbing. I realize any company can make a defective product, but when they won't do anything to remedy the situation the only thing an individual can do is let everyone know about it. I am not the kind of person who complains normally. If anyone wants to look at all of my posts they can see that I have praised vendors who treated me right, but this company hasn't left me any other option but to share my disappointment with you all. I hope everyone who is thinking about purchasing heated clothing reads this first.
