You know what, I never even noticed that the city was shown on the right hand side. Thanks for this thread. I have been going to the person's profile if I wanted to know where they were from.

I would really like to have mine synced. I have only had my bike a short while and I have nothing to compare it to, but I think they might be out of sync. Would you come to TN. to do it?

Good for him, I think that's great! I don't blame you for being proud.

I weigh 198 and my wife weighs about 140 I'm guessing. I can't even tell when she's on the back, unless I do something stupid and she slaps me upside the head.

I finished building my barn in '07, week before last a tree fell on it and wrecked the roof. Insurance paid, but I'm still sick over it. I put a lot of work into it.

Heck yeah! Give me a million and he can have my job.

Several have said something like this. If my wife wanted to ride her own then it would be fine with me, but I'm glad she likes riding on the back with me. I've asked her and she has no desire to ride her own, but she loves riding 2 up with me. I like it too. I have a lot more fun when she's with me.

I'll have to say honestly that's one of the prettiest bikes I've ever seen. I don't like the empty inside of the fairing though.

Not really related, but it reminded me of when my dad pulled the tranny out of his old Kenworth when it had a million miles on it. He drove all his life and shifted so smoothly you'd think it was an automatic. Anyway, when the pulled the top cover off the transmission it looked like a brand new one other than the teeth were a little shiny on the gears. I guess it all depends on how you drive...

Now that's the craziest thing I ever heard. Why would anyone want a Sportster? That's a nice looking bike you've got. Has he seen what a Sportster looks like?

I would go for it in a minute if I was under 40. 40 is when my body started letting me down.

If it's anything like the George Foreman Grill, you just set it on the counter, and plug it in.

It looks good. I may do something like that to my RSTD after after my kitchen remodel and woodworking shop build is done. Second thought, by then I'll probably be too old to care.

One thing about it. I'll bet you never see another one like it. -

I had a V-star when I found this site. A friend of mine had a RSTD and I wanted one. I just loved the sound of his, the cruise control and the hard bags etc. I test rode one and it had a horrible whine. My wife rode it with me, and she said it sounded like a Jetson's car. I came here and asked about it and found out that some had it and some didn't. I test rode another one and didn't hear it at all. I bought it and I love it. I do hear a slight whine in it at certain times, but not loud enough to be annoying. -
A little late, but here's some pics of my "new" scoot!!!

Nice bike! Both of them. -
I'm from Tennessee, and I sell truck parts. I've heard a carrier called a rear end, back end, pumpkin, chunk, stump, hog's head and a third member. I've heard a nut called a "tap", a tie rod called a drag link (which is a different part and gets confusing). I had a guy call me one day and order 4 "hubs" for a Volvo. I said you want all 4 hubs and he verified what I thought he said. I got them in for him, and when he came to pick them up he said "I didn't order these". I finally figured out he was wanting the brake drums. I just had to share. There are tons of others, but I can't think of all of them all right now...

Donlop tire question
eazyduzzit replied to Quicksilver's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I haven't been riding that long since I got back into it. I've only ridden very short distances in the rain, but as far as tracking on cracks and tar snakes the E-3s are great. I had a V-Star before the RSTD and it would scare you on tar snakes and hwy seams, so when I first got this one I was careful when I came upon them on the RSTD, but you can't even tell they're there. -
Congratulations, I hope you enjoy it...

You said you just got it. Are you using the choke? I know this sounds obvious, but I never had to choke the V-star I had before the Royal Star, but I have to choke this one even when it's warm outside. If it runs good when it's warm I'm thinking the choke isn't working right.

Sounds a little like terrorism.... Just saying -
I just wanted to give tazmocycle a little recognition. I posted on here the other day that one of my work buddies broke his throttle on his V-star and asked if anyone had one. Don emailed me that he had one and shipped it to my friend for basically no charge. I would like to give him an attaboy for his help.
