  1. My dog wouldn't be caught dead on that thing. He'd rather play Harley and ride in the back of the truck.

    Road Rage

Things have gotten pretty crazy. I remember the day when if you disagreed with somebody, you would argue or shake your head in wonder. Now they just pull out a gun and shoot you.
  3. OK, thanks. I didn't know that.
  4. No, I ride it every day.
  5. Well, I don't know you, but I do know divorce. It can rip your heart out. I just want you to know that when you get through it, you may discover that it was the best thing for everybody. It took me a long time, and I still get sad when I think about it, but it was for the best and I hope it's the same for you.
  6. The lower light bar lamp looks like a Model 15 Truck-lite to me. If so, they are sold at most truck accessory places. If you determine that's what it is, I could get it for you.
  7. I see someone has good taste...
  8. I jump back and forth between Chrome and Firefox. They both work fine for me. As far as this site is concerned Firefox is as good as Chrome. They both fit it on my screen OK. It must be something in your settings.
  9. I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have to agree that I think these bikes are just plain ugly.
  10. I don't know much about them, but I like them too. I was just looking at them on the internet a couple of days ago
  11. The best aluminum polish I've ever used is "White Diamond" I think it would also get rid of the water spots, but it's going to take some elbow grease.
  12. Amen to that!
  13. I pulled my rear 2 plugs last night and looked at them just out of curiosity. They were white and looks like it is running lean. My question is, what causes this and how do I fix it? It's an '05 RSTD.
  14. Very true.
  15. I posted last week that I would like some help syncing my carbs in the Knoxville area. Eck answered first offering to ride 100 miles to meet me half way. And Ken (slick97spirit) who was visiting his brother here from MO. offered to haul his equipment here and do it for me. I just want to offer a public thanks to both of you. Ken did a great job, and had them in sync in just a few minutes. It runs very smooth now, and my wife & I enjoyed meeting him and his lovely wife.
  16. I didn't know him personally, but he did a heck of a job when he was quarterbacking for the Titans. I hated to hear he died so young.
  17. I saw one of these a few miles from my house today. It's kinda unique. http://www.goldenmotorgroup.com/UpLoadFile/200882942847437.jpg
  18. Nice looking trailer. I like the clean lines and aerodynamic shape.
  19. This is what it gives in the specs on RSTD and RSV both on Starmotorcycle.com 5-speed, wide-ratio w/5th-gear overdrive; hydraulic clutch
  20. You can't grin on a harley, you have to adopt an attitude...
  21. When I first got mine, I did the same thing. That shudder you get when you try to accelerate at low RPMs is almost like a miss. It felt like the old Chevy nova I had when the points went bad. I was used to a V-twin and was lugging it. You'll get used to where to shift, and it will never do it again. It is the V-4 engine, not the driveshaft. You can't quickly accelerate at 60 or even 70 in 5th without the shudder. After I got used to it, I never do it unless I do it on purpose for some reason.
  22. I had a '64... I've never seen this many people in one place who were Corvair owners.
  23. Years ago when I was a lad, musta been about 45 years ago when cars didn't have steering locks or power steering and power brakes, my dad would turn the key switch on our old car off and back on. It would make a huge backfire and make my 2 brothers and me laugh. I had forgotten about it until I read this post.
  24. Does anyone have one they'd like to sell. A friend of mine has a set of lights he'll give me, but I'd rather not pay $150 for the mount if someone has a used one they'll sell.
