I used to buy weedeaters every couple of years, until '92 when I decided to buy a good one. I bought a Husqvarna professional type. I've used every year since, even using it with a blade to cut saplings in the woods behind the house. It still starts easily and runs like new.

Thanks Bill! It's in my backyard and this is the first I've heard of it.

I gave $8500 for my '05. I bought it in '08 with 4000 miles on it. After tags and tax it was $9300. (just for comparison)

It's usually whatever I'm reading at the time. I really get into what I'm reading and look for other books by the same author. I loved "DaVinci Code" and read the other books by Dan Brown. Some were great, but I wasn't too impressed with "Digital Fortress". There was a series by David Baldacci about a retired secret agent that I loved, and I was really into Stephen King back in the day.

I put Flanders bars on my 2005 RSTD and did not change the cables. I did move the fuel tank back and re-route the cables a bit, but didn't have to change them.

I would probably stick with my F150. I have to have a truck for my woodworking, but I don't really want large gas hog that's hard to park. In fact if it weren't for having to haul my MF1429 tractor every now and then, I would probably go with a smaller truck, maybe a Toyota.

I'm like OB-1. I don't have any, and never want one. I've never understood why anyone would want one. I've got plenty of scars though.

I live in Knoxville, and have rode the Dragon (some yankees call it Tail of the Dragon) several times. It was just another back road around here until the flat landers discovered it.

I live in Knoxville, TN. so I'm obviously a fan of Peyton Manning, but I would kind of like to see the Saints go all the way too. I can't lose either way.

When my daughter was about 12 or 13, she brought a kitten home. She said it followed her, and could we please keep it. Well, if you'd seen her face, you couldn't turn her down either. Fast forward to now. She's 23 and married and I have an 11 year old cat. He's a good guy though and tolerates me as long as I keep him fed and happy. We never did name him, we just call him "Kitty".

I think the cop should be reprimanded, That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I remember that song being on the flip side of my old "Alice's Restaurant" 45.

Here in the hills of East Tennessee some of the good ole boys say "youins" as in "Do youins need anything?" We supposedly say "y'all", but I've never heard a true East Tennesseean say y'all. "Throw'd" As in "I throw'd a plastic worm all day around the points and didn't ketch a thang" "Know'd" As in "I know'd that boy'd never amount to nuthin" "Poke" meaning bag like "A pig in a poke" "Ortn't to" meaning ought not, as in "She ortn't to let them kids play out in the street like that" Most East Tennesseeans never pronounce the O in words ending in ow, so window is pronounced winda and pillow is pronounced pilla.

Are the cheaper John Deere lawn tractors any good?
eazyduzzit replied to midnightventure's topic in Watering Hole
I had a Scott's brand that Home Depot sold, and never had any problems with it. I mowed a very rough acre every week, and used it to pull a 4X8 trailer loaded with mulch. Scott's was the same as the John Deere Sabre. John Deere dealers will tell you they're not very good, but I liked mine. My mother bought one of the L140s and she also mows an acre every week. They have made some improvements to them since I had mine, and she likes it a lot. I read a consumer report on the home owner grade of riding mowers, and the John Deere came out on top.- 8 replies

I don't think there's any performance benefit. I changed because I wanted to use the Star Billet air cleaner covers.

I had a bad experience with Gerbing customer service. They never did resolve it for me. You can read about it in a post I did last year. Gerbing customer service

I fall on the side of Buddy Rich on this. I've been sober 20 years and some of us religiously stay away from alcohol. I'm not going to take a chance. I however think beer is the nectar of the gods. If I could drink without bad things happening to me and mine. I'd have a beer right now.

Okay, but where are all the spare RSV seats gonna come from?
