  1. The smoke is where the road is burning from the force applied to it from my back tire. Kinda like the roadrunner used to....remember the flame trail he'd leave when he was running really fast ? Beep Beep Zip BANG !

  3. I'm sittin' here watching Star Trek Edge of Darkness, and I can't help but notice that when the Enterprise takes off and goes to warp speed, where all you see is a smoke trail and a dot within a fraction of a second, it really looks like my first gen when I do a hard acceleration. Just an observation.
  4. I generally only keep one loaded. I don't like to keep the springs in the magazines compressed long term. But that's just me.
  5. Come on in.....the water's fine...
  6. FYI: I sent a message to the e-bay seller, and he says the chrome horns are currently out of stock.
  7. Dingy will probably chime in on this one.
  8. When I read the title, I thought maybe you had a Harley, and did some performance mods.

The same reason you Drive on a Parkway, and Park on a Driveway.
  10. I think I'd try running a drywall screw into it, and pulling it out.
  11. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/03/13/red-light-camera-at-florida-hospital-ticketing-those-seeking-emergency-help/ The gubment does this out of concern for the citizens. They're doing it for our protection. Just keep repeating that and maybe you can convince yourself of it.
  12. I pretty much already know what the responses will be, but is it really worth doing the swap? Is there any downside to doing the swap? Are the higher revs at cruising speed (70 mph) a negative factor? I've had my first gen for a while now, and jut bought my second gen late last Summer, and haven't ridden it enough to know if I feel I need the upgrade or not. The first gen runs great, and while the second gen isn't as fast as Ol' Blue, it seems ok. Opinions?
  13. I guess I'm #4.....WOW.... Sounds like you're coping well, and recovering quickly. I love your eagerness to get back in the saddle. Take care, my friend.
  14. Late last Summer I bought an 06 Black Cherry RSV. For a couple of years before I actually bought one, I thought it was the best looking Touring / Cruising bike I'd ever seen. I'm sure a Harley or GW owner would say the same of their bike. I think we're all biased towards our own bikes because we love them so. All I know is that I'm quite proud of my Black Cherry. I can't imagine liking it more, even if I paid 4 times as much for it.
  15. I'd like to see such a service offered by a member. As long as prices are fair, I prefer to deal with a member before going elsewhere.
  16. Yup, ....all THREE are right where they're supposed to be. How often am I supposed to check 'em. I kinda liked it.
  17. Happy Birthday Freebird !!!
  18. Anybody have a pic of one of the "S" models?
  19. Wish I had some clue what you folks were talking about.
  20. Sounds like you've got 'em sold, but if it doesn't work out, lemme know, ....I'll take 'em.
  21. From what I've been reading, I may be saving myself some trouble down the road. The bypass I mentioned is simply a relay that shares the heaviest load through the ignition switch, which will greatly reduce the chance that it'll burn out from overload. A stitch in time saves nine. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.......wait.....that one doesn't apply....
  22. :2143:Thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
  23. Just spoke with Chic at Rivco and paid the deposit for a centerstand for my 06 Black Cherry RSV. She says they'll be available May 1st. Centerstand, Clutch upgrade, ignition switch bypass, smart phone mount and probably the leveling links will have this new to me bike ready for years of enjoyment. Sounds like a full days work to get her in line, but I'm looking forward to it. I keep thinking about the V-Max final drive upgrade, but for now I can just jump on Ol' Blue (first gen) if I feel the need for speed. This weather's gotta break eventually......
  24. I wonder what makes him think it's ready for an overhaul. Looks to me like it could be brought back without too much effort.
  25. I'd like to jump on the bandwagon and wish ya a Happy Birthday!!! Hopefully I'll get the chance to join ya on a ride this Summer. Hope ya have a good day.
