    When charging a battery on RSV you MUST use one made to charge sealed, jell batteries. Must NOT charge at more than 2 amps or you will "burn" the battery.

    Great looking helmet, if you own a Sport Touring or Sport bike. Cons: Cost, cost, cost!!!!!!!!!!!! Too heavy!! I cannot... cannot justify the price on this or any comparable helmet. $150.00 is my limit. I hate helmets anyway. They block peripheral view, are bad for your hearing because of high decibels created by wind noise. They will however, protect your head in very low speed impacts. High speed impact accidents, helmets will do nothing. And if you break your collar bone, head swelling, paramedics or good Samaritans could cause you to be paralyzed when trying to remove a helmet with your head swollen. I wear a shorty when required by law to wear a helmet while riding. Easier to remove in case of accident and still protects your skull on low speed impacts. Just my opinion.

    You really have to take a close look to tell that this was fake, however think of the POWER Governments can have with this kind of technology when perfected. You can fake armies and weapons in the battlefield and transmit them through the news media. It could literally make governments get down on their knees. They would not know if there was truth to the viewing or not. Technology, though it can be fun, can also be used for very dark purposes. THIS CAN BE WORSE THAN THREATENING WITH A NUKE! Military Vet!

    I did use a hardened T-handle because it provides more torque, it stripped them all. I will try ALL the above solutions given and if and when I get them suckers off, I will replace them with screws that are easier to take off. Thanks to ALL for your input!!!!

    HELP!!!!! I don't know why they made these little screws that hold the side storage "bags" to the mounts SO TIGHT!!! Here's my problem: I wanted to remove the bags for maint. however, in the process I stripped the heads, the cavity where the tool goes in to loosen them up. Now I can't get them off. HELP!!!!! I bought the bike used and at some point before I bought it, the previous owner had the dealer put on new tires. So, I assume the mechanic either tightened the screws too much or put that blue Loctite on them.

    AWASOME!!!! I already use a touchless car wash to wash my Venture! JUST REMEMBER THOUGH! NEVER wash a bike with a HOT engine!!!!! I wonder how they will cool off the engine before going through the wash?

    I too bought and installed on my RSV the Samson slip-ons and love the sound I get from them. And the best part, no rejetting of carbs needed.

    I use The Rotella 15-40. Ended clutch slippage, gained better compression and runs quieter. And waaaaaaay cheaper than so called Motorcycle oils. I use Rotella 5-30 Syn on my cars. Wal-Mart $13.95 $9.99 for the 15-40:Venture:

    I heard Yamaha is dropping the line all together, due to low sales of the Venture. I can agree with that given the first gen had a lot more bells and whistles. When I bought mine I was rather disappointed at all the Bells and whistles they left out. But I'm still glad I bought it.

    If I'm not mistaken, ALL new bikes MUST be liquid cooled by 2010, both in USA and EU. I think it's a Harley. Copying the Venture/Metric Look. Harley already uses some Japanese components. In case the Harley die hards wanna know.
