  7. I stopped at the Herley dealer in Lawton this weekend. Wanted to check on a hand pump for my shock. But never did. they kept trying to sell me a new ultra. Got me to wondering about gauges tho. Has anyone or does any one know of a gauge package that works good with our ventures. I was thinking about removing the useless tape deck and trying to fit up some mini analog gauges in there. Temp, oil p, oil temp, and volt meter. Fishing for thoughts. Oh by the way it was 80 here on Saturday. Today we got freezin rain. Had to drive the pickup:cry:

  14. Nope, I ain't that smart, I can disasemble and reasemble a bulldozer but not do a simple computer task. I feel ashamed.

  16. I did mine two weeks ago @ 18k and there wasn't enough grease to butter my am toast. I need to back off the tourque tho I followed my book. Seemed awful tight but no play. Moves freely too. I might question the value closer but don't know where to look. I need to re-read my manuel. and do the converson math. But how do we know the newtons are right and the ftlbs are wrong?
  17. Thanks Squidly, I need to learn how to do this computer stuff. I really apreciate the help. I built this trailer to haul horse feed home on my way from work. Was a real pain to go home get the pickup Pay 4+ dollars for diesel then go back to town and pick up feed. I can haul 5 bales of alfalfa at one time. then the next day I can get 4 equine senior and 4 oats. Then the next day I can get enough goat feed to last a month. I plan to build a water tight enclosure for going out of town later this winter. By the way I built the hitch on the bike also. Thanks to venture dad for the good pictures on here. For lights I put in one of those deals from Hoppy to convert to standard taillights for the trailer. I bought the one that has protection from shorts and pulls power from the battery. cost around 50.00 from Northern Tool. When I installed it on the bike I took apart the conector to the rear lighting and soldered the wires piggy back on the spade conectors. It looks factory installed that way. then the control box tucked in neatly behind the battery. All the connectons on the trailer are soldered as well. I hate lighting problems on the side of the road. Again thanks for the help. Herb:Venture:

  20. Is a picture attached? I don't know what I am doing.
  21. Mornin' folks, On the 8th of july I bought a 2008 venture. Now have 10200 miles loged and the rear tire seems to be wearing away really fast. Two questions, How close to the wear bars can I run it and is the stock tire that came with the bike the best? Don't seam like many miles to be worn out already. Thanks in advance Herb:Venture:
