We're fine. No problems. *touches wood* Dave

I'm thinking about getting a stealth key, or maybe the spike key. Will your keys made via keycode work with these covers? Or do they have the fat rubber end like OEM keys? Dave http://www.starparts.org/images/products/Stealth2.jpg http://www.starparts.org/images/products/Spike.jpg

I think I'm gonna borrow that one for a while! Great phrase! Around here "coke" is a term for any pop/soda. Me: "I'd like a coke please" Waitress: "What kind?" Me: "Doctor Pepper"

Everyone OK? Pipes alright? Dave

I just did the same thing. Thanks. The local H-D dealerships seemed to heard that they were selling Progressive hand pumps cheaper than the going rate, and ratcheted up the price. They had none in stock but were happy to order it for me at $59.95. Dave

I was planning to ride tomorrow, my day off. But they are spraying the roads with toxic crap that I don't want to clean off my baby. I know all you northern guys have months of time you can spend cleaning your sleds, but I want mine clean so I can ride on Sunday. Dave

I took the live course at their Houston franchise and found it very helpful. Thanks for reminding me that I need to go out and practice. Dave

Passing Lights vs No Passing Lights
Dave77459 replied to rumboogy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Not to hijack this thread, but if you do light it up, how about pics? LOL Or better, wiring ideas. I was thinking of using a fob remote for main LEDs, and adding some strobes on the switch. For when it is parked, you understand. Or parades. I'm not sure of where power comes and goes using the K switch. Controller under seat means power from battery to front and then back to battery? I am looking at that for controlling accessory LED light strips. I'll be interested in your experience, so take pics! Dave- 37 replies

I don't know. But I do know that when I went in to have the warranty transferred and the associated inspection, they'd never heard of such a thing. They had to research to figure out what I was talking about, and how to do it. Meaning, it seems to be rare to transfer the warranty. Also, I had to take it to the original dealer. Any idea who that is? Dave PS: I got the ignition keycode while I was there, because the original owner didn't have it.

Passing Lights vs No Passing Lights
Dave77459 replied to rumboogy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I'm interested in the arguments against as well, because I've never heard them (besides cost). For my RSTD, I wanted them for safety. As soon as I had them on, I realized the bike looked a lot better too. More complete, somehow. In my opinion, those stock turn stalks just look nekkid and crummy, especially on the Venture. I was glad for them today in the fog. They didn't help me see any better, but I put out an almighty large blob of light that let others see me. Good luck with whatever you decide, Dave- 37 replies

I've done a couple years of self-portrait photo projects, so there is no lack of pictures of me. LOL! Here's my latest (copying Three Sheets, which I think is a hilarious show) and with my patient wife Jamie. Dave

Is that a light on the radiator cover? I know nothin' about Valkyries except they look great and always attract attention at the water hole. Dave

Got to ride to work today. 1/2 block visibility due to fog, but it was 45 degrees and the roads were empty-ish. That's a great way to end the year. Sorry to you in the snow belt. I'll do my complaining in August when it is 105 (and I am still riding LOL). May 2010 be your best year yet! Dave

I got a new Buff -- a neck wrap/tube thingy. They work fantastic for me. I also got "Leather Legs" -- like shin chaps. Perfect for our clime, where full chaps are usually too much. The raised knees partially block air onto my thighs. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2530/4222287296_c7ba8003a5.jpg

I've always had a whine, but I didn't really notice it until I put in Motorkote. I don't blame the product, I blame the thread for making me listen for it and become conscious of it. I got her at 2,002 miles, and she has 32,800+ now (in case durability of whine is of interest). Dave

These are photos of my girlfriend, Roxie. She is a 2006 RSTD - XVZ13CTMV. I have loads more at my Flickr photo site, including maintenance photos.
